(we all know if you were just after a surf bus you'd have bought a ratty gen1 wagon and lifted it :D )

I found zero difference (in terms of interior space) between my Gen2 wagon, my Gen1 wagon and my fiance's Gen2 sedan??

I found the seat didnt go back far enough for me and I was too close to the steering wheel.

Mods yet? :P

Brakes done, o2 changed and cooling system bled properly so no more dash gurgle. 17's picked up today and go on tomorrow.

Mark, I'd add a rear sway bar to that mod list, night and day in Outback's.

Hhmmm, sounds like mine - cept a Gen 3 and "only" 18 x 9.5.

2002 Outback - it's gone...

Yeh true. Not mods, just repairs.

Probably will do. See how it goes after the lower profile, wider tires and springs.

Ahahahah Mark.. i don't believe you :P

lets just bring this quote from the day you picked up the gen4...

Only mods i intend to do is some 18's either 3.0RB or CS9's, mesh grille and maybe STi lip (lip maybe not a good idea with the missus driving), sports pedals and maybe change the exhaust tips.

from here...

http://www.subyclub....dpost__p__40081

how long did that last...

nice car though.. look forward to see what you do with it.

Yeh, yeh, Ive said pretty much the same thing with every car. Just doesnt seem to stay that way though.

Im not one to pass up a good opportunity especially when its a set of brakes I personally refurbed and the buyer is selling due to circumstances........

I'll update with pics in about 2 weeks when the car will look markedly different. Already looks markedly different as of this afternoon. :D

Honestly I wont do much. The car is virtually mint and will be shortly with a few tidy ups.

Id love to do a turbo conversion and dump it, but after the two GT's, I dont see the point so im enjoying it for what it is.

If I do too much I wont be happy throwing the boards in it and driving on dirt roads.

I wouldn't lower it. I'd love to do a bit o soft roading, but I love the power my car has!

A tidy car can be better than a highly modded car!

It'll be tidy alright. ;)

Im dropping it 30mm just to neaten it up. It has 215/55/17's now to maintain 0% difference to the 205/70/15 stockies so is still quite soft.

Well the honey moons over.

A nice welcome to the world of Gen2 2.5 head gasket failures.

It decided to let go halfway back from an early surf this morning on the freeway just 700kms since I bought it.

Previous owner (an old lady) was very sorry and offered to pay half the repair costs.

Onto to Miles now who can hopefully source one without too much drama, do the heads and ship it to me to fit it.

Surely time for an EJ205/255 and kept stock(ish)?

2002 Outback - it's gone...
