Although I love the Lib, I think I would like a new generation Fozzy XT Premium for my next ride. Aside from not having driven one, it fits my requirements pretty well. It's got station wagon convenience, plenty of room, fastness from teh tarbo, no SI drive, leather, sunroof, sat nav, DVD, blueteeth, xenons. and the looks are growing on me considerably. All for a lot less than you would pay for all of that gear in a Liberty too. What's not to like?

The look too is growing on me also. Although still a fan of the '04 shape. I want to get one for the family car.

Yep, mine too will be a "family car". I don't have any kids, but I have a Labrador, golf clubs, mountain bikes, snow boards and various other things** that I want to ba able to cart around at a relatively quick pace. (**"other things" is my misses)

I am also liking the new model. The 03XT will have to last a while longer though. :(
As Tony Montana would say:
In this country, you gotta make the money first.
Then when you get the money, you get the power.
Then when you get the power, then you get the women.

Oh no.. That's it.... I hate them now. 1 second slower to 100? not good enough.

Are you sure that the old model did the 0-100 in 6.1 seconds? The current model does it in 7.1 seconds, which is .1 of a second faster than the GT LIb.

So, it may ba slower and heavier as you say, but it's a bigger car, more fuel efficient, has more kit and is more of a genuine SUV rather than a puffed up Impreza.

Hi,

They are plastic, the auto is a 4 speed for some ungodly reason, the rear seat adjustment buttons were designed by a four year old ACTIV foundation sponsor child, the sunroof is awesome, the windscreen rake is very vertical so expect chips more often than normal, fuel consumption is good, you feel like a passenger when 'pushing' a stock example - so confidence in spirited driving is minimal.

I really need real questions.

Cheers,
Nik

I LOVE the current generation Foz. Particularly those XT's with the Premium Pack and all the goodies. Make terrific all round vehicles.

What's not to like?

The interior.

As much as I love the Foz, its such a shame its still essentially an Impreza on the inside. Coming from a Gen4 Lib, I think you'll notice the downgrade in quality. Don't get me wrong - its not terrible. But even with all the gizmos + leather, its borderline nasty in some places unfortunately.

But thats what I think. You should definitely go down to a dealer and check one out. Would be very interesting to hear how you find it compared to your current ride.
