Trawling through a hard drive while its on its last legs is the last thing you want to be doing.
Pro tip for all of yall, Make note where your important files are located, makes our jobs and your lives much easier.

Ren any reason you don't ghost the disk and get all the data instead of trying to recover only their important files and risk losing the lot?

Ugh i could ramble on for forking days about this stuff.

Easy answer.. if your not snapshotting the drive, and they dont have backups, and the data is Critical Business data
and your not the one that was incharge of their backups..

Sorry, drive has suffered a failure, accessing it now can cause more damage, suggest taking drive to drive recovery experts. (panam) etc

As far as I've ever known, those things can really bite. You really need to know the car to drive it at any sort of pace. Doesn't look like a real AC, though? So might not be too bad!

Dad used to be mates with one of the blokes from the state Cobra club, or whatever - all kit cars as far as I can remember - but they were a complete bunch of wankers and after an incident here at work we never saw them ever again. Haha. Completely unrelated, but every time I see one it pops into my head. They'd been good friends since before I was born.

I've driven 3 replicas and they were various levels of frightening. They're basically a more svelte 32 hiboy with a gruntier motor. First one I drove was an auto 302 Dax and was shit. Shit suspension. shit handling. Shit braking. Built for fat lawyers who wanted the image without the reason why they got that image.

Second one was a Robnell which had a hot LS1 jammed in it. Awesome handling, full on racecar type feel, but could have had any other body on it. Didn't feel like a Cobra. Then I drove their 427 side-oiler powered "exact" 427 S/C replica. Holy. Hell. THAT is the sheer, unbridled terror a Cobra is meant to instill. Not many words could describe how good, how terrifying that experience is. And the noise - oh my god.

brb. going to toilet for a hand shandy...

@Marv: Seems pretty aligned with what I've come to believe. I was driven around in a fair few (young buck at the time), and I think it was more the douchebags that drove them that turned me off them.

Also, by the time you sort one of those kit cars out well enough to be a big boy car... you might has well've bought a big boy car...

Kit car people are a funny bunch. I wouldn't discount having a giggle in my later years.

Bloke drove in on Saturday in a snazzy little sports car. Older lady that works for me says to him as soon as he walks in the door;

"What type of kit car is that? Haven't seen one of those before!?"

.....

"It's my Lotus Evora S.... I picked it up yesterday"

Haha. Burn.

Car was bloody beautiful though.

I took heaps of photos that I've been too lazy to oplud.

Fair enough!

Doesn't even look like it kicks. Just says, yeah nah, not gonna turn.

Damn I'm hungry!

Think I am gonna do the Harry potter thing. As long as boss says I can have Monday off work. Don't wanna go on a weekend!

You should probably stop dating a 14 year old girl.

Or being one.
