LOLz at getting discounts for delays. By all means ask for them, but from what I've seen from a few big builds (not mine but others) its a case of "its not our fault the suppliers were late. Either you pay the bill, or we keep your car until you do."

I know a wicked engine all bolted together just waiting for a new car to go into.............

My engine has been in the car for 3 weeks.. They are waiting on exhaust, headers, turbo, fmic etc.. Pretty much all the AVO stuff.. I only figured out they are a AVO distributor a month ago.. when i saw him with a AVO logo on his shirt.. So who knows maybe they are coming from USA or something..

realisticly $13675 isnt that bad if you had have run it car straight as it come out of the front cut. obviously factors out of your control came into play but realisticly you would have had a very decent gen3 conversion had you not have had the issues.

Have you put any more thought into squeezing some more power out of the engine. Like strapping on one of those intake fans

Yep. But its good to see that theres still people out there willing to do these kinds of things that dont make us look as silly as when we did ours hey Aek.

$28k? I would have sold you the engine, intake and turbo for $18k if you hadn't of started it yet. Al would have done the rest and you would have had a killer setup. But, you'd already started it. Shame about it being such a huge financial learning curve. But trust me mate, the feeling you'll get when you first put your foot flat to the floor and your seat sucks your arse into, all those concerns over what you've just blown your money on will disappear with that feeling.

Keep your chin up, it won't be long!!!

Yea man.. Even if i had just had the engine rebuilt I would of had a brand new ej207 with fully forged internals, complete for close to 20k.. I just got carried away wanting to make use of the rebuild :)

Just the kind of person I am i spose.. I always get carried away with projects.. But This will be my first turbo car..

Im 28 and always had slow or low cars so its the right time to build the fast one.. if i don't do it now it wont happen for 20 years from now as a house etc will become priority very soon.

Yup. I thought it would actually be cheaper to do it all now as the engine was out etc..

At the end of the day i just got ripped off buying a dodgy cut.. But shit happens.

If the 6 speed ends up being Posted Image'ed then ill be furious
