Haha yeeep, first gear syncro doesn't exist much anymore. So sometimes when selecting first it just slides straight through and crunches like a biaatchh. I guess this is the result

I highly recommend doing an oil change/ flush to make sure you get all those metal flakes out. If they keep shredding around in there, it will do some serious damage! Get on the full synthetic oil as well. Makes shifting soooo smooth!

So been having some bad luck with the car latley...

Firstly, my drivers side headlight was playing up and would intermittently come on and off. Track it down to the headlight connector had melted and was causing problems with the connection to the find on the back of the globe. Cleaned it all up & stuck her back together. Worked for a week or so, then both headlights stopped working.. Parkers, indicators and rear lights all work, and can hear the relay clicking over when the lights are switch to on, just no light. Checked connectors on back of globes and looks to be all good, checked fuses and everything is all good there too, so will have to sort it out over the long weekend.

But the worst news, if you haven't seen my WTB Thread yet.

Coming home a couple weeks ago in the rain, someone slapped on the brakes in the Yarris in front of me, I had a little panic and grab a butt load of brake to which caused a lock up. Came off brakes and steered her up onto the footpath at around 60 km/h, managed to keep it all under control but hit a power pole with my drivers side mirror resulting in the glass breaking and put some nice dings/ buckles in my wheels...




Sent them off this morning to get re rolled but unfortunately they cracked trying to fix them My old 16" RX wheels have road worthy tires on them so they are unusable and I just bought new 215/45/17 Toyo Teo Plus Tires

Dad found me some 2003 WRX wheels for $680 without tyres in Melb, so if i can't find any B4 BBS 17's soon, I might go down that path.

What do people think? Has anyone got a set of B4 BBS wheels that are round? Going to get painted anyway so a little gutter rash and faded paint doesn't matter

Fixed headlights too. I'll let pics explain,

Connector clips into the two tabs on the back of the globe:





Opened up the weather cap on the back of the headlights and the positive wire just fell straight out. Re stripped and crimped new flat tunnel connector into it. Working all sweet! Turns out the other light just had a blown globe lol. What are the chances of both headlights dying at the exact same time!

If your serious about selling them Ash, I'll come round and have a look? There is a Club Liberty Cruise on sunday that I am dying to attend, but if I can't get wheels organized by then I'll deal with it.

Don't really want to be driving hard and fast with 17's on front and 16" w/ shot potenzas on the rear.

Lol, no, although I did say when my mate got back to work, he isnt back until next week, plus I have had to change the CV boots/shafts in the time he has been away, that was coilover money

Well hopefully Ash will buckle and sell me BBS goodness, but otherwise, looking at some 2003 WRX Rims that are also local.

But you can be back up plan number 3 if all else fails haha. Still not completely sold on the GT wheels. I think Walts ones look so good because Silver B4?
