Hey all,

Thought it was about time that I put up a build thread about my Subaru. I bought this car in July 2011 to replace my old 1996 Impreza LX. It's a MY04, Auto, EJ25 Engine, Also has bucket seats and a momo wheel. The car had a full service history from a Subaru dealership in Sydney and 101K on the clock. The car was completely stock and that's exactly what I wanted. I never planned on doing any modifications to it as it was good enough from the factory. But after spending enough time with you guys on the forum doing some "tasteful" mods were inevitable. I have met some top blokes on this forum and hope to get to as many meets as possible.

List of current mods:
18" Lenso SC02 Wheels 18x7.5 +45
King "Low" Springs
Front & Rear Ultrex Strut Braces
GD STI Muffler
EzLip
Sony DSXA50BT Digital Media Player Headunit
Sony XS-GTX1622S Splits (Front)
Sony XS-GTF1027 (Rear)

Clarion APX1301 Mono Amplifier

US-Audio USA12B 12" Subwoofer

Alright and now onto the pictures: (Listed in the order that I had then done)

Stock car. The day I went to check it out.

The Sony headunit. I previously had another Sony unit that did cd and aux. I swapped it out for the A50BT about 4 months ago. The A50BT is the headunit for 2012. Has Bluetooth for calls and streaming audio from my phone. USB/AUX input and AM/FM Radio. But I like the fact that it doesn't play cd's.

Next up was new wheels. I picked up these up from a guy in sydney and they were almost spotless. Only a little bit of gutter rash on one of the wheels. Also on the same trip into Sydney I got to go to my first SubyClub hooters meet!

Ultrex Front Strut Brace

The springs have made a huge difference to how the car handles and the look of it. Might go lower again but I'm happy with its current height.

EzLip:

Rear strut brace then I put in today.

And the must important mod of them all:

This is how the car currently looks:

Car is really clean, Harry.

Some white wheels would set it off! But be a bitch to keep clean, I'd assume!

+ Don't forget your gloss bleck calipers.

I like this car, Subtle mods are the best ones. Also, Harrison keeps it extremely tidy 24/7. EXTREMELY.

lol I try and keep the interior spotless. GF left a kebab wrapper in my center console. Now it smells like a bad kebab store.

No worries. It was a rather tight fit to have it installed. Wasn't sure if that was normal or not.

Looking good Harry! Some 20% tint will set it off. I reckon go black wheels. Black on red always looks awesome.

Cheers,
Shazza

I put up with people from amnesty, red cross and now the cancer council almost daily hounding me!! Throw in the greens, green peace, unhcr, save the forking children and I've well and truly hit my limit for the number of fuckstains wanting me to sign something or give money. Seriously cubts,  :fork: right off.

Thanks mate. Don't have any plans on changing the wheels anytime soon. But black would look pretty decent. I was looking into tints before and found out that the darkest legal tint is 35% and thought there wasn't much use getting them done. If I change my mind I might call you a visit.

Very nice ride man. It's the small things that make all the difference. I can't wait to see what you continue to do with her.

Wanting to buy/looking for: single genuine STi rim, genuine STi front lip, Corazon or Zero/Sports grille and another OEM grille

Can you hook a brother up? Please contact me now. I have cash ready.

nice car dude! i like your mods list too, these impreza's are awesome from factory, little bit more sportier then a basic impreza or liberty, but nothing unpractical/racecarish, its pretty hard to fault them.

Cheers guys. I'm thinking about better speakers next because it still has the ones from the factory. They are not bad but don't have much bass to them. In my last car I had 2 6x9's in the parcel shelf which sounded good but I really think it ruined the look of the car. Just gonna get 4 decent ones for in the doors.

6x9s are teh gay. Also go for 2 even better speakers in the front and leave the stock ones in the back, they don't make much difference.

Really? I can understand putting better ones in the front but wouldn't it be better to also put something better than stock ones in the rear doors?

Well, you don't drive from the rear set do you?
