now as some of you know, i am a photographer by trade...
so i have to carry this....
and room for this as well...plus this....
the B4 isnt going to cut it...
Now i need a wagon... ruled out the forester, i like the ride of the lib/legacy...
now what i want is some opinions on the 2 above mentioned models...
i like the look of both models... but i actually DO like the way the TT drives...
what concerns me is hows the build quality of the gen 4? i find the gen 3 build quality great, and i think the jdm stuff would be superb...
is there much difference in the performance? the numbers are similar...
any other comments of note please let me know....
Cheers...

Very well put together cars and even though the earliest ones were made in 2003, they still look very modern

5 star safety rating for the little bub (congrats by the way!) compared to the 4 star rating of the Gen 3.
Plus, they're great to drive.

To elaborate mate, considering you live down here as well, the OBK could be something to really look at. Ride comfort is untouchable in stock form (mine is dumb), the H6 will net you sub 9L/100k - though fully loaded it'll probably be effected a bit. Also, geographically... do you really want another boosted Subaru? I think it could be quite some time before Bunvegas has the support network you'd want.
If you have your heart set on a manual, the OBK is already off the list though I guess. But if you're ummin' and ahhin' - drive one, heck, drive mine - most people have only driven the 4AT box on a Subaru, and if that's the only exposure you've had, I would implore you to try a 5AT.
I'm not just saying this because my car is for sale.
@Zac: While you CAN fit everything into a sedan, it's undeniable that the process of stacking and unstacking is made a skillion times easier with a wagon. Especially for a keen eyed professional photographer that see's a 'perfect shot' out the corner of their eye.
Cheers,
Nik

Good point... I can see why a wagon might come in handy then... I guess I upgraded from a Lancer Sedan to a B4 for space for the baby, and thought that was all I'd need...Hi,

Is it really that hard to add folding rear seats for extra storage??
Actually, now that I think about it, they probably do it for a reason to make you buy the wagon which is more expensive.

Lol.. I see your point... so far I haven't had a reason to fold down the rear seats though and with the baby seat there, it wouldn't be something I'd ever do unless I really had to...The worst design feature about the B4 and the Gen 4 Sedan is that the bloody rear seats don't fold down like they do in the Gen 2!

But going from a 1999 Lancer CE VRX sedan to the B4, the boot space is huge in the B4 by comparison...
The wagon does look pretty good though..
