Mmmm rusty.

A decent sized oval muffler should make it a lot quieter.

Hi-tech are the best mufflers I've heard!

Xforce are good too. But loudish all the time.

My mrt oval is good :)

that a pretty skinny cannon. no wonder it's so loud

So the more you can fit your head in it, the quieter it is?

I like to think of it as borrowing someone's car and driving it better than them.

Mine wasnt the one I had on the foz was louder and dronier than my massive generic hurricane muffler

So the more you can fit your head in it, the quieter it is?

Not necessarily... A well designed muffler will be...

Hi Tech are quiet at highway speeds but still make a bit of a rumble under throttle. I have one in the shed that you can buy if it isn't picked up this weekend.

The price of a new muffler depends on the brand and what it is made of. You can pay anywhere from $200 for a generic muffler at your local exhaust shop or $600 for a brand new Hi Tech.

Wow.... $600 for a Hi Tech... Damn...

Well will go to the muffler shop to see what they got and how much... the dude there seems to know his stuff too, so we'll see...

But if your muffler doesn't sell, let us know... :)

Haha cheers :)

I absolutely love mine. Twin tip hi-tech oval muffler with a 3" inlet/diffback.

Would love to eventually get the rest of the system done from the turbo back plus a tune but now with the wife driving it all the time it's probably not the best use of money...

It's quiet when cruising/highway driving but when you mash the loud pedal, it roars.

I hear it coming up the street every afternoon and I stop whatever I'm doing to listen :P

If it's local, you could check it out and see where the hangers sit/see if it sits flush with the rear bar... Not sure of the differences with the B4 and WRX regarding exhausts.

I know I installed a Gen 3 sedan muffler on my Outback and it sat heaps far back because wagon. Didn't bother me though...

Lol! Do I really want a 4inch tip? Lol!

I don't even know how big the one I have is... haven't measured...

Think it will cost much to get it fitted?
