You should immediately drop whatever it is you're doing, and put the anime series on DL, and the feature film.

Initial D is EPIC

I know what it is and have seen it, but I don't watch it... I've only ever seen a few clips on YouTube here and there whenever I get linked to them. I do play the Initial D game whenever I go to an arcade or something; they're fun.

Wanting to buy/looking for: single genuine STi rim, genuine STi front lip, Corazon or Zero/Sports grille and another OEM grille

Can you hook a brother up? Please contact me now. I have cash ready.

I have the Initial D revving sound as my message tone, and the intro song as my ringtone... :)

You're definitely a fanatic then!

I've seen a few BRZ's on the road so it seems more and more people are having their wish lists fulfilled.

Such a good point... the 86 is meant to be the Panda.. so the new Toyota 86 with the boxer engine is not the same thing, though it does share some similar features...

I'd get a BRZ and that would be all... and like y'all mentioned... get it blown!

Hi,

I have come to the conclusion that 99% of people that buy a BRZ have done so simply because they didn't bother to drive the 86, and realise it really is, the same bloody car.

It just is.

The suspension set up that people bang on about, really? REALLY? If you're going to track it properly, are you REALLY going to leave the suspension stock? I was nowhere near the limits of the car before my driving skill/confidence ran out, in either badge.

Better tyres apparently, but not quite accurate as the GTS'86 I drove had the same tyres as the BRZ I drove. So I guess better spec tyres on the 'base model' is more accurate.

Toyota dealerships are far better in my experience than Subaru dealerships. Subaru dealerships have it in their head that they are servicing Porsche cars.

Cheers,
Nik

Surely people cannot be basing their choice of car on the tyres that come with it?!?!

and to the guy saying the brz has a better shift/ suspension set up.
I've seen a ton of shit about that as well.
personally I love how my forester shifts. it's the smoothest out of every car I've had. I prefer it over my e46.

and right though I saw we to pick up some brz's! the rocket bunny one is amazing. so is the bagged rotiform one I think? I don't remember if it's rotiform or not. but yaa lets make racecar brz.
I'll do a ls1 swap bahaha

and the fact it's only 200 horses is really annoying.
should've been like 400 or something insane.

Hi,

If the BRZ has a different six speed to the 86, I'll eat my hat, raw. I'm hardly Tiff Needel, but it was just the same. It's just placebo making people think that sort of lunacy.

All I'm saying is, they've sold thousands of 86's and only in the very low hundreds of BRZ. I still think it was just a way for Subaru to have a new platform for whatever they are releasing tomorrow in New York, which I'm mildly excited to see, but also worried. If it isn't a two door SWB 'hatch' style, then it would indicate they are never getting back into WRC.

People have this weird idea of the Subaru being so much better than the Toyota. Go and drive them both, and then tell me they aren't the exact same bloomin' car!

Also, Toyota warranty at 5years and fixed price servicing is FAR MORE attractive than the Subaru 3 year no guarantee on price servicing.

Cheers,
Nik

And if it's the badge people are worried about, then I'm pretty sure there is a Subaru badge on the rocker cover. On the 86. Win/win situation. :)

Hi,

And there's MITSUBISHI and NISSAN stamped all over the electrics of your car and all other Subaru's!

Cheers,
Nik
