Strap on turbo setup.. Easy

the mechanics I use have completed a couple of these now. I'm told they handle ok, but the power just isn't there, even with the kit slapped on.
looks nice with some te37's though.

Brakes are ok.
They go ok. They don't push you back into the seat though.
They sound like a NA subaru. Which is poo.
Awesome car for the money, I guess. They get very boring.
Took one for a drive for a few hours not long ago. I got very bored, Very quickly. I was constantly reminded that the entire interior looked like the new corollas insides.
The noise the intake sound generator bellows into the cabin is the worst feature. Maybe if the engine made a good noise it would be ok.

The brz is built in the same Gunma factory as the 86 and by the same people , but it is different.
brz has 10% stiffer front springs , revised shock absorbers , data dot security and three years free servicing (sources - Nathan Ponchard unique cars and wheels thunderbolts way 86/brz comparison}.
The 86 is set up for drift as it dips it's nose and throws out the tail.
The brz has a stiff neutral set up and runs better lap times with less tyre wear.
My brz came with 6 years 175 000 kms warranty , so i wont be modifying it anytime soon.
Just my 2c worth after studying the twins for years.

Wasn't part of the agreement between Toyota and Subaru that there were only allowed to be 200 BRZ's sold to every 600 86's? Or something like that. Before it was released I loved this car but now the fact that everytime I see one there is an elderly lady behind the wheel. They also need 18x9's standard
The ratio is 1 brz for every 9 86's.
There are currently about 850 brzs in au , these have a unique build number , mine is brz 757.
18x9's would slow it down , unless crawford performance fitted their boosted engine , porsche cvs and heavy duty clutch.

MRT are building a twin charged (turbo + super) 86 that will rival the Crawford turbo BRZ.
Check them out on utube.
Also there are currently about 1050 BRZs in AUSTRALIA.

Hi,
No, we will not be 'checking out' MRT any time soon.
Cheaper ways to buy a bomb than going to Brett.
