Day 2.
No good news to report. This one's being stubborn.
I swapped my BBOD into the car with no positive results. ECU was reset and no major change. BCS was swapped to Zac's original unit & no gains. If anything I'd say it's worse than before.
Rob was at my place this arvo & we found a leak in line 1. After it was replaced there was no noticeable gain in power.
From a standing start the car bogs down and .....2, 3, 4 ,5 seconds later revs start to rise. It's downright unsafe for pulling into traffic. When I manually rev the car from inside the engine bay it stutters (if you will) before the revs climb. Power delivery is just non existent in 1st gear. Secondary boost is very powerful and isn't peaking til around 6k which just doesn't suit the Auto gearbox range. As soon as boost comes on fully the gearbox is changing gears. The secondary is being rendered useless by the gearbox.
I did some research and found out there is no kick down switch associated with the accelerator pedal. The gearbox seems to work with vacuum lines and solenoids to control kick downs. The gear box is not responsive to the throttle at all ATM.
I still have a few things to try but I'm starting to think this cars problems are not isolated to the TT system.
Tomorrow I'll be testing the Differential pressure sensor, SPV & IACV by swapping the ones off Whitekong. I'll be hooking up my boost gauge also.
Once I'm satisfied all those things are working I'll move on to the ECV and check it's adjustment. I'm fairly sure it needs to be nipped up tighter to promote a bit more primary boost.
I'm not certain of the ECU & tune in this car also. It's possible it's tuned with ECUTEK. It's possible the ECV was adjusted for this tune then a standard non tuned ecu was put back in the car without any ECV adjustments to suit.
That would explain a few things.
More tomorrow.

Quite possibly. Not a fan of them TBH.
This thing makes 15psi + easy on full boost. It's quite impressive but........ Down low there's jack shit.
It pisses me off!
Hope the ECV is hell loose. That would be good.
if not I'll try the ECV line mod. That may work well with the Auto.

Good on you for putting this much work in! Vacuum lines and solenoids for the gearbox sound like another level of NOPE

Faulty coilpack or throttle position sensor maybe worth looking into? Tried swapping or cleaning the AFM?
Nice job on the engine bay too, gives me a little bit of motivation to give mine some loving!

Yay!
I should just convert to single, right?As soon as she hands it to you, slowly take of your pants, then, while staring her straight in the eyes rub it against the tip of you penis, while continuing your painfully intense gaze whisper to her;

Been dicussing it with a mate and we too came up with coilpacks. They're on the list of things to check.
Decided to go at them first thing tomoz.
Probably jinx myself saying this.... I think we're on the right track.
