Can't you make new contacts in the less stressful job? Maybe not as many though...
I'll be going from a state govt. contract role to a local govt. role. Not nearly as many people working around the place.
All good, won't change my decision though.

Throw in the greens, green peace, unhcr, save the forking children and I've well and truly hit my limit for the number of fuckstains wanting me to sign something or give money. Seriously cubts,right off.

Help.
- Take a payrise/new job title but stay stressed, long hours (12+ at least a few times a week) and lots more on-call.
- Take a pay cut (~$4k'ish) and go to a quieter place, local govt job, 9 day fortnight and less stress, no on call etc.
Less stress job. You will be much happier in yourself and having more money doesn't always make your happier.
