I am PUMPED for Elder Scrolls Online.

Assassin's Creed IV Black Flag looks pretty awesome, as does Watch_Dogs... Only thing I'm thinking is whether to get Grand Theft Auto V on the PS3 or wait until I get the PS4.

This...... I would get it on PC to aviod any crossover but I dont think its coming out at the same time. I prefer it on PlayStation anyway. I'll probably get it on PS3, then upgrade if they release a new master of the game on PS4 with more pixels. Would be nice if we can transfer the game saves over the cloud between PS3/4. Dad has dibs on my PS3 when I get a PS4 hahaha. He doesn't game much but it would open up a whole new gaming world for him.

I seriously might end up waiting for the PS4.

 

Word on the street is that there will be no transitioning between the PS3 and PS4. I've also lightly read that even the PSN ID's might even change. I don't think it's a reliable source, but I read it on this page of the PlayStation Forum.

PSNs will carry over. Think of all the account information and credit cards they'd lose if they didn't.

Valid point. They'd be stupid to do that. Then they wouldn't be able to hire some hackers to "unknowingly" gain access to people's information and credit card numbers.

GTA5 pre-ordered on 360..

 

I saw GTA 5 is getting a special edition where you get a los santos snapback but I don't think Australia is getting that version

Not that I wear them... but I'm getting whatever special edition we get.
I always try and get special edition's when I pre-order.. except when they're the $500 one like Black Ops 2 did..

I don't think I own a special edition game... I did get the Grand Theft Auto IV: The Complete Edition, but that's about it. Only games I've ever pre-ordered are StarCraft 2 and Diablo III.

You told us how much you loved the flexibility you have today with games delivered on disc. The ability to lend, share, and resell these games at your discretion is of incredible importance to you. Also important to you is the freedom to play offline, for any length of time, anywhere in the world.

So, today I am announcing the following changes to Xbox One and how you can play, share, lend, and resell your games exactly as you do today on Xbox 360. Here is what that means:

• An internet connection will not be required to play offline Xbox One games– After a one-time system set-up with a new Xbox One, you can play any disc based game without ever connecting online again. There is no 24 hour connection requirement and you can take your Xbox One anywhere you want and play your games, just like on Xbox 360.
   

• Trade-in, lend, resell, gift, and rent disc based games just like you do today – There will be no limitations to using and sharing games, it will work just as it does today on Xbox 360.
   

In addition to buying a disc from a retailer, you can also download games from Xbox Live on day of release. If you choose to download your games, you will be able to play them offline just like you do today. Xbox One games will be playable on any Xbox One console -- there will be no regional restrictions. 
 

These changes will impact some of the scenarios we previously announced for Xbox One. The sharing of games will work as it does today, you will simply share the disc. Downloaded titles cannot be shared or resold. Also, similar to today, playing disc based games will require that the disc be in the tray. 
 

We appreciate your passion, support and willingness to challenge the assumptions of digital licensing and connectivity. While we believe that the majority of people will play games online and access the cloud for both games and entertainment, we will give consumers the choice of both physical and digital content. We have listened and we have heard loud and clear from your feedback that you want the best of both worlds."
