I like to think of it as borrowing someone's car and driving it better than them.

Had a few important financial things come up the last few weeks, Bugger. So no plates for a while.

Yesterday I was unlucky enough to be pulled over by the infamous Highway Patrol Officer Slee. The modified car nazi.

I got pinned for: Suspension to comply standards for vehicle and exhaust missing components. He also thought he could get me for missing 02 sensors as well. (Wideband bung) :P
My exhaust has two cats and a rear muffler. Just like the standard GT system. So, It's not missing components.
My car counts as a MC vehicle (LOL). So that means 200mm's of ground clearance. However, Once the vehicle is registered in NSW it must have 100mm ground clearance. My car has 95mm's of ground clearance at the flex joint before the second cat.

So with some hanger modifications tomorrow night at the flex joint, I'll keep my car the same height as it is and Officer Slee can pull me over again, Actually measure my car this time and go do his job properly.

What really grinded my gears was he was trying to school me, I wasn't speeding, Didn't even RBT me and in the 10 minutes he spent doing laps of my car mumbling to himself a pulsar with cut springs and subs turned up to 11 drove past and a pajero with rooted wheel bearings rolled past.

While my car which is 110% safe, Mechanically fantastic with no corners cut gets done for bullshit.

:fork: the system, I've lost any respect I had left for Highway Patrol officers. His parting words were thank you for your time and money. Disgusting.

Blueslip on Tuesday, Clear it, Up yours.

agree 110% cam, was quite infuriating sitting in the car watching it all take place. and seeing all these rusty bombs drive past which are obviously very unsafe cars, while a clean as well maintained car gets picked on. and he never collected any evidence, never measured the car, and was on one of the biggest power trips ive ever seen in my life.

Kommandant Slee certainly was on his little power trip yesterday though!

I'd fight it, especially the height being 200mm shit and the 'missing' exhaust components.

Suspension you can't really fight and you should mention that. Say I agree with that but the rest is just made up.

How much did it end up being in total? The one off payment or 4 times that?

What an absolute prick.

On a more positive note, and as I have always said, your car is forking perfect. Not one imperfection I can see. Awesome work man.
