No PC, many laptops...

Laptop will work fine for Netflix.

Plus you get the first 30 days free, so you literally have nothing to *loose.

Ugh i could ramble on for forking days about this stuff.

Gotta get unlock-us or something right? Since Netflix won't work with Australian IP...

Wonder if I can change settings on my Sony TV to get netflix on it...

Still seems like torrents is an easier idea... I like the XBMC solution too, but then would need a laptop on constantly, right?

Use laptop to stream to smart TV sack

Download PS3 media server.

Go to input list on TV, and select PS3 media server.

Watch stuff.

I put up with people from amnesty, red cross and now the cancer council almost daily hounding me!! Throw in the greens, green peace, unhcr, save the forking children and I've well and truly hit my limit for the number of fuckstains wanting me to sign something or give money. Seriously cubts,  :fork: right off.

Aight Shaz, will try that out tonight... just didn't want to have the laptop on all the time just to watch things on the TV..

Maybe I will have the laptop plugged in and tweak some of the power settings, so I can have the screen off, but the HDD still running when the lid is closed

AAAAAAAND WHY DID YOU BALE ON THE COROLLA?

He doesn't need to purchase a PS3 ffs. Its just a program you download onto PC

IT WORKS WITH SMART TVS.

NO PS3 REQUIRED

AAAAAAAND WHY DID YOU BALE ON THE COROLLA?

Dunno. Got bored of it at the time. And Jordan made me a good offer to buy it.

Then he sold it. Shame, I would have bought it back off him.

No, Google Chrome and an extension for it (free) called 'mediahint'. Install, run chrome, go to netflix site, sign up, watch.

Lol how could you possibly know that without having seen Netflix? The site is set up to be convenient for Americans, so it's the simplest site in the world.

Ugh i could ramble on for forking days about this stuff.

@Amsy, good point... I will look into the netflix thing on the weekend too then, start my 30 day trial then, and see how it goes... so you don't recommend hulu plus?

HEADERS ARRIVED!

Thanks for the reminder. Scrapped the Plasti-dip idea for now, as I gotta get my headers installed.

Also, Firefox.

I like to think of it as borrowing someone's car and driving it better than them.

I subscribed the Hulu (just the free account) and from what I saw Netflix had a LOT more content...but the Chrome/FF extension also unlocks hulu so you can do that too if you want, they are both $8/month to subscribe and both give you 30 days free (I think).

Ugh i could ramble on for forking days about this stuff.

I have one of those Aldi specials, picked it up for my last track day. Does the job, and ticks all the compliance boxes I think. Would never wear it on a moto though
