We have this science learning place in Perth called Scitech. Its aimed at school kids. They had one of these rooms there when i was a kid. I dont think its there anymore.

Weird, cause I work in the sun and have the same thing happen. My arms, neck and legs tend to get darker, but not once have I been burned (yet). Black skin may absorb heat more, but you are less prone to being burned and getting skin cancer. I'm pretty sure another downside is that it makes it harder for you to produce vitamin D. Don't quote me on that though.

 

Sweat sucks, but you get the right product, and everything is fine. Seen that Lynx ad?

Yeah I was out at the beach at the Gong on a 42 degree cloudless day, so maybe thats why... but I haven't burnt before in the 15 years I've been in Australia and living in the west.... so  was shocked too...

 

Yeah sweat sux, but I hate it when its on my face and I don't think there it much I can do about that...

That's pretty insane, but is one of the many reasons why I love summer. It's the best time! And now with a sunroof on my car, it'll be even better. Not having a right arm driving tan is gonna be sick!

I've actually heard of a few people burning the bottoms of their feet. One of the highest areas prone to sunburn on a baby, for example, is the soles of their feet also. They're always crawling around, being carried in a pram, etc.
