As above generally the liberty/ legacy marque had owned the Gen 1,2,3,4,5 titles
Imprezas are known by most as either classics gc or gc8 shape
bug /
Blob / peanut eye
Hawk eye/ pig nose

Okay I see now, I was familiar with the bug/blobeye nicknames but thanks for clearing that up :)

The GC/GF shape was the classic sedan/wagon as already mentioned.

The GD series impreza had a few face lifts and was around for ages!

Bugeye = MY01-MY02
Peanut/blobeye = MY03-MY05
Pig nose/hawkeye = MY06-MY07

In 2008 the 'Ugly Betty' was released and while it also had a few minor face lifts, it didn't change nick names. The MY11 and MY12 were just known to have epic pumped guards :P

There's an even newer one out now but I've no I idea what it's been dubbed!

What's wrong with an OBK with a H6, exhaust, intake and tune can see them with 140ish atw's and will be P-plate friendly, can be had for under 10k and the boatness can easily be removed. or just wait until you are off your P's and get a GC8 rex and start from the best bang for buck basis for motorsport duties.

H6 Outback only came in auto.

You can find a few Gen 3 H6s for sub $10k but if you want the 5sp auto you'd be looking more around $15k minimum. The cheaper ones are pretty ratty though.

Please dont. Those things dont belong on a n/a Subaru.

Get the gen 2. Much better car.

Would love the bonnet scoop,  but i drive N/A, best to invest in turbo first though :P make that scoop do its job :dance:
