I've also sneakily asked whether they'd give me a discount for bringing a mate along to get his RX-8 tinted too. :P

I don't know why you think that is sneaky, everyone wants discounts on everything, yet why does no one ask for discount s when getting fuel or groceries and other daily items people take for granted? I'm gonna go catch a train shortly, might ask for a discount.

End of rant!

Sorry, just annoys me.

As soon as she hands it to you, slowly take of your pants, then, while staring her straight in the eyes rub it against the tip of you penis, while continuing your painfully intense gaze whisper to her;

"My eye is watering, this might be a bit hot"

I should just convert to single, right?

Ha ha, I try and get some good bargains from people for things, but food and petrol I know won't get discounted so why ask? When I was in retail I was asked that often that it pissed me off. Things would be half price and they'd ask for a better discount. Technically I can, but it comes off my own personal tab that I get every six months.

You won't know till you ask I guess.

Everyone knows that you won't get a discount on groceries and fuel.

You annoy me.

people apparently want what they perceive as "good value" on what they purchase that is seen as a big or non regular purchase.

for example, groceries is seen as a regular purchase, and people believe they get good value or deals for this due to consumer competition between the big supermarkets etc, else they can shop around between them. if you drive into your local BP and you are unhappy with the price presented to you, you have the option to drive out and down to your local Caltex 500m down the road who may offer a better advertised price.

compare this to when people buy a new TV or a car, its something that they dont always buy, and we are generally spending more money than when we purchase groceries or fuel, so people want to feel like they are getting a good deal for their money, leading them to want to negotiate, or as garry says "sneakily ask" (like you ash i dont see that as sneaky at all, i deal with it day in and day out and theres nothing sneaky about it). so they feel like they are getting a good deal for their extraordinary spendings.

Eating less because office worker doesn't make sense. Eating healthier things, more often is actually better.

Eating less is telling your body that it needs to store nutrients because it's not getting enough. Which is usually fat.

You eat less = you get fatter.

Why do my neighbours feel an incessant need to honk their car horns every time they enter/leave their driveway?

They are a deadset bunch of drongos.

I had the same problem when I had new neighbours move in the week after my twins were born. Every time the women would leave she would beep her horn and send her dog barking like crazy.Would wake the kids up just as they got to sleep.

Went over and saw them and asked them to stop it and she told me that it was so the dog would know she was leaving and that she could do whatever she wanted on her property lol. Ended up ringing the council and registered a noise complaint. After the third complaint was made the coppers come out to tell them to stop and the dog bit one of the coppers so that ended all of that after the dog was declared dangerous and put down

Not to mention that we have people that want stupid discounts on heavily discounted items, then when they want to "think about it" they proceed to spend $50-$60 on lunch at the cafe up stairs.
