You needs to make sure its going to fit comfortably above the fire place, otherwise that's not a bad TV, especially for the price.

Just slow as shit, trying to type is impossible, takes ages after I have typed to the word, sometimes even the letter to appear

Same thing happens to me on my S2, and I have root access... what phone do you have again?

 

It usually happens if you have too many processes running in the background or you have something stealing your memory... happens on the fruit phones too...

Give android task killer a go. Also uninstall all the bloat ware that you can off the phone.
