I have always had ASUS machines.
I heard they were an Australian company that buys components from OS and then builds them here? That's why I started buying them. The one I'm using is what I got for mum. I can't believe it's touch screen.
That's news too me. I don't know of any major hardware companies that build the pc's locally.

Never heard that, hmmmm might look into that, but I don't believe they are an Aus company.
They are from Taiwan.

Even that they are a Taiwan company they make some of the best stuff. I have always bought their motherboards and will again for my next system.

Sorry I couldn't be more of a help with this stuff Nik. If it was a few years back I would've known the ins and outs, but technology changes so quickly that what used to be the latest, is now Neanderthal technology.
