We lost by an average of 3-1. Not good enough. Our last 2 world cups we had a win,draw and a loss. For this one to be successful we either had to equal that or better. And while we have 5 major sporting codes in a country with a small population we are never going to be good enough to challenge the top sides in soccer

I literally just read that. A lot of the Aussie players are gonna get some good contracts in the next year or two. A lot of their values have increased dramatically, including Leckie and Oar.

Well I'm happy that Italy are out, still bitter from 2006. But wtf Suarez, biting people? Again? He should be sanctioned for that.
As for the other match, another pretty pathetic world cup performance from England.

i know he faces the possibility of a two year ban via FIFA tribunal but not sure if that's actually official yet is it?
the maximum sanction is 24 months so he's looking at two years if they throw the full book at him. Zidane got 3 games for headbutting Materazzi in the 2006 final and Tasotti got 8 games for breaking Luis Enrique's nose in 94. Suarez already has the original bite for Ajax and the second against Chelsea so he's a repeat offender and definitely deserves a stern response
