I put up with people from amnesty, red cross and now the cancer council almost daily hounding me!! Throw in the greens, green peace, unhcr, save the forking children and I've well and truly hit my limit for the number of fuckstains wanting me to sign something or give money. Seriously cubts,  :fork: right off.

Yeah I know, but I'm sure they'll make it just as good... It's closer to me now anyway. I've only gotta drive about 20 minutes. :P

I hear beer goes well with that.

I concur.

Morning guys, how are you all?

Update: Baby is doing well, responding well to the broad spectrum antibiotics. Had a chest xray yesterday to check for lung infection, came up fine, going in for an ultrasound today to check for kidney blockages... should be ok too... she was doing fine this morning, temperature is still a little high, but way lower than it was before, so all is going well... Heading over to the hospital again after lunch.

Thanks for the concern guys... :)

Mate, that is great news. So happy to hear it!

GT ASSEMBLE;

If you were going to drive around the country, taking your time and shit, like a year or so; Would you rather do it single or with a partner, or with a friend?

That's a good way of doing it. Put them in order, crew!

I'm interested, especially considering we have people at all sorts of stages of their lives on here.

In a perfect world, I'd go in the order that Shaz mentioned. However in reality, it'd be partner, friend and finally single.

Planning such a trip Nik?

Kids are a bit like that, go down quick but bounce back just as fast.

Any idea on the cause?

My only suggestion would be if you did it with a friend/partner, schedule some days apart every now and then.

Thinking about thinking about it.

I've always wanted to do it, but not for a year though. I was wanting to do one for about six months may be? Not enough time do you think?

That would be a must.

I could line up temp jobs from here to QLD, then probably come back across the top a bit more direct. So I'd probably budget a year.

This is all VERY pie in the sky stuff here. Just wanted to get some opinions. Most of us it seems have all had some level of desire to do it.

At the stage Jess and I are at right now, I'd have no problems going away with her for that long. Even if we were to spend the entire trip with each other. The only thing that comes into this is the reality of careers, family (I'm an extreme family person, they come first always), whether I could afford it or not and where I was at at that stage in my life. If I look at it realistically, I'll probably be doing it when I retire...
