Won't have my Ls for another few weeks anyways!

Is there much to look for when buying a bike?

Check for obvious things like condition of the rubber, obvious leaks (there are overflow pipes but leaking seals is bad), check the service history (important) make sure the bars are straight, check headlights/brake lights/indicators all work etc.

Ugh i could ramble on for forking days about this stuff.

Also check how good the bite on the rear and front brakes are.

Also the clutch pickup point just to see how well it's adjusted.

Or give Shazbank a buzz

As soon as she hands it to you, slowly take of your pants, then, while staring her straight in the eyes rub it against the tip of you penis, while continuing your painfully intense gaze whisper to her;

"My eye is watering, this might be a bit hot"

I should just convert to single, right?

So... been checking out lots of bikes.... well pictures anyway... GS500F does seem like the hottest LAMS bike out there... so many positives...

Another than keeps popping up is the Honda CBR250R... pretty nice bike too... apparently one of if not the fastest LAMS bike...

Thoughts?

CBR250R is awesome. I've had a ride of one. You would enjoy it. ;)

Yup... will have to see how it goes... had a quick ride on a Kawasaki ninja in uni back in the day... was ok...

I'm more interested in the riding position than the power or whatever... so we'll see what I feel comfortable on...

Question, do you test ride these bikes at dealerships and bike shops, or private sales?

Just go to a stealership and say you're interested in buying it and want a test ride.

Then if you see something private sale at least you'll know if you like it or not.

Good idea... but the private models won't be new, so if they are like 4 or 5 years old, how can I be sure they ride like the stealership bikes? Lol!

Oh well... whatevers.... as long as I know I can test ride at the stealership, I'll be fine...

The most important thing you want to be comfortable with is the riding position.

That won't change with age.

Yup... thanks... don't want something I have to lean too far forward on, and not something where I'm upright either... will see how I go on the riding course first.. :)

+1.

No matter how much of an awesome bike he's got, he's still a wanker. The bike does look sick though. I don't think he's old enough to even hold a license to be able to ride it.
