Hahaha, Nah not at all.

The older ones were forking terrible. Albeit, indestructable, I remember valve bouncing my old twin cam hail damaged excel for like an hour straight and it didn't so much do anything but use fuel. Loved it.

The new ones are a completely different kettle of fish though.

I put up with people from amnesty, red cross and now the cancer council almost daily hounding me!! Throw in the greens, green peace, unhcr, save the forking children and I've well and truly hit my limit for the number of fuckstains wanting me to sign something or give money. Seriously cubts,  :fork: right off.

Your mate finally learnt how to take a straight photo :P

Except now he needs to work on car placement, or photoshop.

2P sign poking out of the rear window is something to look out for...

Thing is, if they see how well the car is looked after, and if you're honest, they tend to believe you. With every car I've sold, people ALWAYS comment on how well looked after they are.

Plus, if I show them the large pile of used oil containers behind the shed, they'll have to believe me!!!

Ha ha, he just does things as he goes I guess. I don't think he is a professional photographer. Everything is self taught so far.

That may be true, but I even look at the log booking when I buy a new car... It's the main reason why I bought the Liberty I have now. The guy took it to a dealership each and every time a service was due with only a few km's over here and there. If there was a way to get a stamp for log booking and being able to do everything myself then I'd definitely go down that path, no questions asked.

Very much this!

A lot of money has been spent by the Koreans in recent years across their brands, Hyundai is the flagship of the group (the Kia models get their turn a little after Hyundai has had their time in the lime light since Hyundai owns both companies) Having met one of their lead safety engineers when he was out from Korea at ANCAP I can say that I reckon they are taking the company in the right direction, I'm not going to go out and buy one but I would have no trouble in recommending one to someone, as Shaz pointed out they are better equipped than their Japanese competitors, better build quality then a lot of their competitors, better price point and better fuel consumption and in a lot of cases they are getting better crash ratings.

The guy took it to a dealership each and every time a service was due

So what you are saying is that a first year apprentice who had little to no clue did the servicing on your car prior to you owning it? haha.

I love a complete log book but that's presuming you are going to sell the car. I've got to the point where i've invested too much blood, sweat and tears to sell the car. It's going to be with me for life.

I keep all my receipts, invoices and dyno sheets though.

That's pretty dependant. Depends on the age of the car, variant and what needs doing.

When I was an apprentice at Jag, I used to get all the old, low km ones that just needed a basic oil and filter change. Or I'd get a new one, but only if it was for stuff like doing software updates and whatnot (not much on the mechanical side).

They wouldn't let me near the "R" variants.

I've seen this at most Dealerships. The apprentices get the old cars, while they give the Master Techs all the new top of the line stuff.

I like to think of it as borrowing someone's car and driving it better than them.

Exactly. S&J is littered with Subaru enthusiasts. That's what keeps me going back.

Well there is a chance that this is the case, but meh. The services I get done now are by ICHIban so I know it's quality work.

I am going to sell the car, I just don't know when. I get my full license soon and wouldn't mind getting a later model Liberty SpecB/GT (2008-2009). I also keep every one of my receipts and invoices.

Sell my current to buy a better one. I love the later model Gen IV's. There may not be major differences but I wanna have the latest Gen IV I can get. I'm even aiming for a Liberty STi. But all of that is years off, or until I have a good job that will enable me to be on top of everything financially.

Just keep your current car for a few years until you have enough to buy the TBSTi.

Going from an H6 to a TB is ok but seems a little weird to go from an H6 to an H6 of the exact same model?

That's the plan. But going from a H6 to a H6 in the same model, I am not only looking at the aesthetics. I am looking for lower km's, the interior has a few additional bits and pieces, a few extra features, etc. I like the post facelift.
