Are you gonna take the job Zac?

I've just applied for a structural engineering job in Melbourne for a place called Aurecon.

Tempted now with more pay and chance to move up in a company... got 15min to decide

Not too easy... job is crazy corporate environment, might mean more hectic work coz starting things up from scratch... but yeah, better pay and might be working with a good friend of mine... and career move could be there...

You've got more pay, career progression and can work with a good friend of yours in exchange for a more crazy corporate environment. You won't know if you dislike it if you don't try it man.

Besides, you've been commenting on how shit your current job is now and the fact that you work overtime for nothing. It might do you good.

I am applying for a job in Melbourne. I have no friends or family there (other than the guys from here). I have done no research on where I'd stay nor have I got any knowledge about Melbourne apart from being there twice. In Sydney I can go anywhere and make my way anywhere. It'll be like moving to a different country I reckon.

Throw in the greens, green peace, unhcr, save the forking children and I've well and truly hit my limit for the number of fuckstains wanting me to sign something or give money. Seriously cubts,  :fork: right off.

You applied for an engineers job, Gaz??

I'm very tempted to apply for a job in Wollongong that could very well pay 90-100 bucks an hour.

It's only gaurenteed 2 month stint though.

But if I earn 3x what in on now, I theoretically woulnt have to work for 4 months ;)

I am man. To be specific, I will start as a cadet drafter which would open pathways within the company.

Gaz - Aurecon are a massive company.

I know. Top five engineering firm/company in Australia if I remember correctly. They aren't offering cadetships at all yet in Sydney but are in Melbourne so I am going to apply and see where it takes me...

I've applied as an expression of interest to the Sydney firm though and have an official referee who is currently a senior structural engineer now. It's just a matter of them taking on people.

You may GT a lot less, but a forum isn't your life man. You've gotta think about your future.
