Overly black exhaust?
ha! what's that.
Mine's as dark as a black cat in a coalmine.. I still get 11.5 around town and ~9.5 on the highway.
20 is insanee - sumfinks wrong.
With the stock BOV, I find the line 10 mod just gives a touchy boost cruising.. no chattering.
Is it your box playing up? Is the torque converter a lock-up type?

I have no idea about AT's, first one I have ever owned.
Though, it could be related to the AT. Perhaps something to do with the low amount of load at speed?
I tried to emulate the problem at "around town" speeds to no avail. It's a 100km/h+ thing.
Shifts fine, doesn't flare. Kicks down like a mule on demand, loves it. It's a little whiney and could do with an AT juice replacement, apart from that, I can't see an issue with the tranny.

It only does it at 0 psi at freeway speed, no other time at all. Once a drop over 0 psi, the symptom is gone. I initially thought it was a coilpack playing silly buggers but that would be more consistent and at any given load/speed.
What does it mean by "lock-up"?

You should be able to feel it switching in when you back off after accelerating.. I think the suby ones can lock up at pretty low revs (~1500).
It worth a look-see anyway. If your box hasn't had new juice in a while, its worth changing it.
If you suspect the BOV, blank it off and see if it fixes things

Finally, these (expensive) suckers showed up!
As discussed earlier, the JDM unit uses a 5/35w dual filament globe in place of a traditional T10 wedge globe. At 5w it acts as a parker light in normal operation. When the indicator is used, the respective globe will light up the 35w filament and spread the light into the corner your driving into.
Now, these globes aren't available in Australia (some ADR jibber jabber most likely) and the closest you can get is a 5/25w brake globe which is all brown and ugly.
After trawling the internet for a suitable replacement for the 5/35w globe, I came across a couple of brands an eBay seller in the USA had (Raybrig-Stanley and Polarg) .Some money was exchanged and parcels sent.
Here are the results!
This image is with the just the parkers on. Lame 5/25w on the left, 5/35w Polarg on the right.
Turning lamp activated with indicator. Again, lame 5/25w on the left, 5/35w Polarg on the right.
This is the crappy directional illumination put out by the 5/25w.
Much brighter illumination with the Polarg globe.
I'm pretty happy with the results and the benefit the turn lamp gives with the extra brightness. The colour temp is a bit duller than I had expected but I guess there are limitations to the colour you can get from an incandescent globe. Probably limited to the colour of the actual glass, really.
Would be great to find some closer to home as these took just over a month with USPS from The States. Hopefully they don't blow any time soon!

Hey Jim, in a rush cause I have a 4am start tomorrow so I'll skip to tl;dr version:
1.) new bulbs are awesome! I hear what you're saying about the temp but still such a vast improvement
2.) I kept an eye on my vac whilst on highway yesterday and today. Maintaining speed at 100km/h and 120km/h both had the same results: -10inHg. I'm not smart enough on the TT system to diagnose but at face value you're applying more throttle than me when cruising. I don't know if that means you may have a vac leak somewhere making you need more throttle for the same speed?
Anyway mate, gotta run. Lights look maaaaaaaaaaad

Buggered if I can find it though. I think the plastic intake tract might have a small fatigue split somewhere.

I figured it may be a side effect of the mod. Does anyone else get that? Probably the BOV chattering? Its a T900 so it shouldn't?
How tight do you have the BOV adjusted mate? There's also 2 Ten cent pieces in there so it's sprung pretty hard.

Though I think it may be the AT lockout as Dunc described as I cannot emulate the shuddering at any other speed or load. It nearly feels like a slight misfire but that would be more evident at a broader spectrum. If it's not misfire it has to be drivetrain lash. ECU is clear so it has to be driveline related.

Turns out there's a third gear and so pleased the wagon will do 80kph but I was horrified at the 11.6l/100km return.
