Same size as JDM plates? Legacy surrounds would be a neat addition. ;)

Exactly the same size! I went into auto pilot mode and mounted the rear plate a bit lower than I would have liked. Ill have to fashion a bracket of some sort to lift it up before I can fit a frame.

So, while fiddling about on the weekend with my intercooler trying to figure out why the secondary felt like it had lost power, I found I hadn't tightened up the secondary hose coupler properly. Just enough boost was escaping to give a decreased power output on full operation, but not enough of a leak to hear it.

Solved that issue and got curious/bored while in that general area and decided to remove my idle air control valve.

Holy smokes Batman.

This thing was caked in carbon deposit. Gave it a good clean with WD40 and a wipe with a rag, then cleaned all the gunk out of it's manifold housing and fook me, solved my idle issue!

Car would carry on like it had a bad vac leak when in N and P, since the clean up, it idles so smoothly it doesn't even sound/feel like it's on. Super happy.

Nice one Jim! On both counts. Did you bother replacing the IACV gasket or rinse/repeat with the old one? Mine wants to hunt every now and again, other times smoooooth

Now that you mention it, it didn't have a gasket  :scratch_one-s_head:

It had an O-Ring at the end of it where it sits in the recess. Not sure if there's even supposed to be one there lol

If you have a spare 5 mins, might be worth whipping it out and seeing the condition of it. I was stumped on where I was getting the leak from and it was driving me mad, even when slowing down quickly for a driveway it felt like it was about to stall. The little bugger must have been sticking and starving the engine.

Hrmmm. Might be cause different Rev. I baulked at removing mine because no have gasket. I've given it a blast in position - will have to find the part no. and then clean that sucker properly.

With the gasket thing, I was going off this

Ahkay. Mine's different to what's pictured there. That appears to be later D-E setup.

Is yours the same as what's in the FSM picture?

tbh I can't remember whether mine matched your pic or matched the FSM. Here's a post from Cam that made me hit the brakes cause I didn't have the gasket. Ended up nuking IACV with UEC without removing.

Major change wasn't until Rev D-E so yours being a C should be the same as mine unless there's something sinister going on!

Aye. RevA-C is still the premier model. RevDE introduced emission control that significantly dropped torque between 0 and 8,500rpm and increased bland by 18% through boring grills and chubby sideskirts. I'm pretty sure RevDE was a test-bed for Gen5 Liberty.
