Hi cubts.

I put up with people from amnesty, red cross and now the cancer council almost daily hounding me!! Throw in the greens, green peace, unhcr, save the forking children and I've well and truly hit my limit for the number of fuckstains wanting me to sign something or give money. Seriously cubts,  :fork: right off.

Have long have you been fighting fires with fire?

Fighting fire with fire is incredibly effective.

Flame is drawn to flame.

Burnt ground can't be reburnt.

Basically ALL my work to be done is outdoors, finally get around to doing it and it's been pissing down all week. Just have to suck it up today, because there really isn't much else for me to be doing.

I hear you.

Back burning and control burning is a huge part of the fire fighting effort each year.

It is also the number one source of out of control fires in the country.

Yeah especially when the conditions are good, they start a controlled back burn then the wind pics up and changes and then all of a sudden the thing is out of control, happens so damn often.

Yes, my made up statistic do seem completely wrong as well. Only a small amount of fire fighters are arsonists... This means. Odds are you aren't one of them Mr Morgs - that's good news isn't it!

Answer: Forever!

Fire requires oxygen to survive.

As fire burns, it draws all the oxygen from around it (hence the lack of oxygen in a burning building for example).

Flame is controlled by the wind direction.

So if the flame draws in wind, you can light another fire nearby which will then be drawn to the existing fire.

Burnt ground cant be burnt.

So once the fires join up, they kind of put themselves out.

It;s pretty cool

Ugh i could ramble on for forking days about this stuff.
