They're the ones in the door, yeah?
Definitely factory in the Calais.
Mum and dad have them in their respective Lexus' - built into the wing mirrors. It recognises when you approach the car and they turn on so you can see the door handle.

That's awesome. Gotta love the Lexus'. My wagon only has the red lights to give other drivers a warning that my door is wide open.

Nope, Puddle lamps are in the door mirrors, door courtesy lamps are in the doors. (that is the industry standard terminology for those items)
