Look buddy, just because you're a "Subydr" doesn't mean you know everything.

Many of us have been doing this shit for years and know what we're doing.

You're in a losing battle if you want to pick a fight with Cruisn..

I like to think of it as borrowing someone's car and driving it better than them.

As long as the levelling system and washer's are working, and the car originally came with HID's there is no reason for them to have any chance of failing a RWC according to what you just said SubyDr?

Anyway, torqued to spec is just the manuals way of saying 'we couldn't get it any tighter, see if you can'.

You will find the most GTB have had the HIDs  removed as they fail RWC laws in Vic and wont get past NSW annual safety inspections. Cruisn panelbeaters are paid nothing by some insurance companies . You need to establish the story behind the job before judgement is passed . (Client no money....no insurance.... cheap love job ...1/2 market rate etc) . Be careful of the USA stuff. Your car is Made in Japan . That USA stuff is built for their models which vary in a lot of ways.

You speak as if you assume I know nothing of modifying cars or acquiring the correct parts? LOL. Ive been doing this a while......

I pass judgement because I know a shit job and lack of attention to detail when I see one as Ive had more cars in panel beaters than I care to remember.

If your in a job where you have to cut corners or do substandard work to turnover a profit - get a new job.

Obviously you know your Subaru's, but dont assume others dont because you seem to come across with a "better than thou" attitude than doesnt fly really well on this forum. ;)

Back on topic though.....

I'll be doing the front 4 pots at work tonight. Just going the standard red/white decal combo. Ive also removed the rear arms and will press the bushes out and fit the WL adjustable ones also.

So all going to plan, I'll have them refitted to the car with the RAYS tomorrow afternoon. Really needs the STi springs in though.....

Sounds good.

I hope it doesn't look "mexiflush" without some form of height adjustment.
I'm sure you could take care of that if need be though ;)

Ignore old mate above.

Looks like you have an ADM crash bar too as the JDM ones don't have the heavy/solid reinforcement bar. Just out of interest... :)

Bloody hate on the HID's!

Projector lenses, adjusted correctly.. and not GayAidsHonda 6000K+ Globes and you will be fine..
Not that i even need to say that in here.. Cause  Mark knows.
Hell i have been rocking 5000K globes for years now and i have almost been fined for "Driving with fog lights on" ffs but not a mention on the HID's

On Topic,
Mark, i have had a few guys come in when i worked at the wrecker asking for just a AUDM crash bar because the JDM one didnt meet the requirements after a car was marked as Repairable Writeoff..

Only difference, the Jap ones have a heap of big holes in them like Simon said.

Was the radiator replaced?
Generally that's the only time i would be concerned. otherwise, its just a fact of owning a second hand car..

Is the issue just slack panel gaps / clips etc?

Are you doing another round of 2Pot Dogbones now that you are putting them on the Ewag?

I Got Hubs but i wouldnt mind Dogbones for the Foz ;)

SubyDR really knows his stuff just reading his posts. Just needs to do an intro thread with some background info. I think he'll bring some good knowledge to the forum.

No other dogbones being made. Ironic is after all the sets ive had made, I had none for this car so bought a set from the UK of some other design. :sarcastic:

Its the little details that make things. Painted black badges.

I removed the Subaru from the RHS, leaving it off and while all badges were off, it was time to polish the dirt lines off the paint work from around where the badges were then clay bar, polished and waxed the tailgate.

Added silver indicator globe to the tail lights also.

Clean as man.

I've gotta get new screws for my number plate but have heard about not mixing metals due to rust and what not. Load of crap? Any recommendations on what I should be using (both pattern and metal)?

What type of paint do you use for the badges? I have a feeling I'd like to plastidip my grille.

Wanting to buy/looking for: single genuine STi rim, genuine STi front lip, Corazon or Zero/Sports grille and another OEM grille
