My speakers are 80 watts RMS each and they get that much power from the amp at 4 Ohms. Which is more than enough for everyday listening.
Don't get 2 subs, you lose too much boat space, in my opinion just buy one good quality one.
You would be better off just waiting until you buy the head unit and amp and then installing them all at the same time. Saves you pulling everything apart a second time if you just use the stock wiring to run them without an amp in the mean time, that and the stock head unit does not provide enough power to do them justice.
Oh damn.
I don't know the RMS specs off the top of my head that's why i didn't quote them. (I know peak power means jack)
I think they are around the 50w RMS mark though.
Well the speakers needed replacing, they were distorted. it was a kind of an impulse buy.
I was thinking i'd replace the front and rear speakers (i know the headunit will be underpowered - but it's only temporary)
I wouldn't think I would have needed to pull the door trims/cards off again?
I was planning to run speaker wires from the amp to the headunit and tap into the factory cables.
I figured this isn't really doing in the correct order however i don't think it's any more work?
correct me if i'm wrong?
