Do not want turbo, hence the H6.

I thought the H6 really needed a fair prod to get it to move, even with the manual.

I just looked up the specs, 2.5 n/a has neither bells nor whistles.

Doesn't want turbo, complains Subaru's are slow.

You can get some decent BMW's for ~25k now. Dad was keen when I suggested he look into 6cyl BMW's the other day. Trying to sway him from going Holden again, he has always wanted a bimmer, just didn't think it was affordable. We saw some real nice M-packaged ones and a real nice looking 530i the other day.

Should've bought that blue one, Jase!

Keep your eyes out for another 3.0. I reckon the one you drove was a dudd. The right one will come around :)

There's one in Woodonga with sat nav but the owner hasn't got back to me. $5k cheaper too.

If I told you I was a compulsive liar, would you believe me?

Morning

What BMW is it Jase?

That's the catch.
To get a 6cyl I'd be looking at a E46 about the same age as the RX and to get something newer I'd have to get a E90, but in a base model 4cyl.

If I told you I was a compulsive liar, would you believe me?

Apart form insurance costing a little more, I guess it's because I have heard more bad things about Liberty turbos than the n/a's.
If i was was looking at an Impreza, it would most likely be a turbo as, my impression is, they have less dramas.

Not saying the H6 is bulletproof either.

From what I've learned recently the Gen4 H6's are all prone to trouble around the 200k mark. Sometimes earlier.

I guess that's a lot of K's - but it is looking like a when not an if.

200K isn't a lot of K's. it is higher but it certainly isn't high K's... they shouldn't regularly be going bang at 200K.. that isn't very good.

I can't remember exactly what it was, but there's a seal at bottom of the front end of the engine that perishes and leaks oil back into the engine, or somewhere in the engine it's not meant to go? It's down where the bottom pulley thing is...

...ermmm... I knew what it was a few weeks ago when Leigh told me. Said he's running around after H6's all the time at the moment, as you can imagine most Gen4's down here are easily over the 150 mark.

Disconcerting, yo!
