Throw in the greens, green peace, unhcr, save the forking children and I've well and truly hit my limit for the number of fuckstains wanting me to sign something or give money. A thread to work out how over night Niks gear ratios magically changed?

Yerp. Something like...

Plz halp, i didnt get a serious answer in the general thread so thought id start a new one. Blah blah

Is this a common problem? How many doll hairs will it cost to be fixed? I only have left handed tools but should i attempt it fix it myself? Can i still run gen3 20psi power? My dog's cousin's pet goldfish's aunty is a subaru mastermind for over 10,000 years, will be taking it for a full inspection asap. But i dont want to be ripped off.

Thanks in advanced.

Need an opion from you guys.. as im in a world of frustration..

So my daily driven 1967 VW type 3 broke down now three weeks ago on the way to work on a monday morning..

It didnt fully stop just felt 50% power, I stumbled it to my local mechanic ( new owner, hadnt had any of my cars with him before)

I drop it in and he says he will look at it tommorow.. he calls me next day and tells me a solenoid had fallen off one of the carbies and was missing.. Ok makes sence.

He then orders in the part takes 1 week to get there.. Tells me its a 2nd hand part and was hard to find.. Fits it a day later and says it hasnt fixed the problem..

Ok so i leave it with him.. he spends another few days trying to sort it.. Changing timing etc etc etc.. Cant fix it.. Tells me hes going to send it to a auto elec down the road that deals with old cars as a hobbie.. Tells me he aint cheap but he knows his shit.. SO im ok.. He also tells me hes going to tow it there.. I say ok..

So its there for a few days.. The auto elec thinks it may be the destribitor as its seased.. SO he orders another one and fits it last week.. Still no good..

The auto elec now thinks its the same fuel solenoid that was replaced 2 weeks ago.. He thinks it never worked.. SO now.. 3 weeks later he is waiting on another replacment..

And giving me the same shit answers every day i call him..

Not after 5 phones calls this week im starting to lose it..

How would you guys go about this ? I know im gonna get some massive bill at the end of all this Posted Image'ing around and personally im pretty shitty about it..

He has told me alone the new distribitor is $350 and hasnt even fixed a single thing...

Hi guys,
Havent had a PC for 2 weeks, just built it today.. Fast, new computer is fast.

Anyway.

I got owned.
Badly.

Driving without a license, suspended. I had 1 week to go as well.

What am I looking at? 12 months disqualified? Anyone got any good case scenarios?
Only reason I was driving is because my grandma had a bad fall and I had to go checkup on her.

Cheers,
Nick.

I had a friend that got caught driving on a suspended license. He got 3 years license diskoalafication, and a massive arse fine. Admittadly, he had been done for DUI in the past (about 4 years prior), so I have no idea if that affected his sentence. And, he certainly wasn't going to check up on his grandma.

The new dizzy comes out and the old back in, you don't pay for that. That is what my take would be.

As for the other thing, you don't pay for the broken replacement, just a working part, I understand it can be frustrating but you will need to be patient, it's probably not the easiest problem to work on and being an old car like that it will be harder to find parts for.

The other thing I suggest is not to call them every day, it is annoying. The car will be finished when it is finished, taking up space on the workshop floor can be a pain in the arse so I am sure they are not holding it there on purpose.

I know you want your car back but I think given the circumstances (being such an older obscure car) you will just have to have a lot more patience than if you were to rock up with a corolla.

Yeah, I agree with Josh, Andrew. Had it been a 2000 Corolla, you would be well within your rights to start asking questions, but given the fact its an older, rarer model, it may take extra time.

That, or take it to Jase next time. He has the knowledge of over 9000 mechanics I'm told. I'm pretty sure, that when he closes his eyes, matrix styled workshop manuals stream over and over again.

There is that.

Fact:
Since automotive manufacturing began, every single technical document ever has been downloaded into Jases brain for safe keeping.
