$40 for a thermostat/o-ring

$40 for coolant

$210 for 2.1 hours labour: Driving the car into the workshop, Pulling it apart, Putting it back together, Bleeding the cooling system properly (2-3 fan cycles), Road test and then top up the overflow + Final check over.

Sounds about right, I would charge the above for a turbo subaru.

This is what Dad said he would quote.

75. 00 labour 30.00 coolant 60.00 thermo

Beer peeps, I just read this on a list of the "15 Disgusting Ingredients You're Eating Right Now".

  • Fish Bladders
How much do you love a tall, cold glass of beer on a hot day? Well you should know that some beer contains something called "isinglass" which is really just fish bladders. They give some beer its golden yellow colour.

True or false?

Phone a friend.

So far one rear strut is blown which I guess is good considering we paid for new ones, here's to hoping there's no more hopping.

Gary, colour comes from the Malt, the "Fish Bladders" are one form of finings... finings help clear the beer up.. Brett will be able to bat off in proper detail the finer details about the process.

I don't use fish bladders, I only use Whirlfloc in my brewing prior to whirlpool to help get some of the thicker shit to settle out prior to transfer into the fermenter.

Do I need rubner spring perch insulators? They are never supplied with struts (which I think they should).

Turns out the grey struts are Monroe Originals and the one rear Monroe (the other was factory kyb) was worse off than the original kyb! Don't like the chances of Tue fronts being ok now...

Still need to find out the difference(s) between the kyb fronts for the Wrx and non-wrx. Rears are all the same. I'm thinking weight related, but there must be more to it.
