It's a weird problem.

 

Normally, the ODO/trim meter is constantly illuminated but dims when the headlights get turned on.

 

However, whilst my ODO/trip meter is still illuminated during the day, as soon as I turn the lights on, it dims so dark that it looks like it's off altogether which is also the same brightness as the rest of the dash.

 

Nothing can be adjusted anymore using the stalk.

 

Sometimes, the dash lights to work when you initially turn the lights on but as you get further into your trip, the lights get dimmer! Then other times, they won't turn on at all.

A guy on OzFoz had the exact same issue I'm having a few years ago and this was his fix -

 

I found the pin 32 ground connector on the B38 plug to be a bit loose....so when the plugs go together, it's not tight.

I made the female connector a bit tighter, put the plug back in a voila, all is good again!!!

Weird, damn electrical problems, sounds like a wiring issue then or in whatever controls the dimming of the lights.

 

You have been offroad in it maybe it is just a loose pin or something

So gutted for Dan. I'll be interested to see what made it do a big end, That engine had fantastic oil pressure when I tested it in April.

By the dimmer switch, do you just mean the stalk?

I heard Tap King makes beer taste like arse.

Probably has more to do with the beer currently available in the tap king range, basically tastes like arse anyway. I mean look at the range.

White Rabbit Dark ale, first impressions is not bad.

It's fermented in open fermenters so there's no pressure other than what gravity provides. It means the yeast produces more fruity flavours. Goes alright. I've got a sixer of it in the fridge at the mo.
