Hi Pete, how are things with you? What are your plans for the day?

 

My task today is boring and repetitive but it is something that we must do once in a while.

 

I am also feeling pretty good today - I slept like a log last night, probably because I didn't have any alcohol so it was a good proper sleep.

 

On another good note, Wesfarmers have finished their share consolidation and Capital Return, so I get a bit of a bonus today paid into my bank account , not as big as a dividend payment but it's still a few hundred bucks, which is better than a shunt to the front bumper of my car . Just now have the boring as fuck task of working out which shares are subject to capital gains tax (gifted shares and shares that are no longer tax deferred are not subject to CGT in this instance) and shares that have been held for more than 12 months get a 50% reduction in CGT.

Buy a second hand head and a VRS kit and fix it + sell it off for a grand or something... that way you are rid of the car and learn something
