Here is the aftermath of the hailstorm, this is about 2km from my place. You can't really see it but in places it is over 150mm deep and a light tap on the throttle gets all four spinning and you just slide sideways.

Never seen anything like it before.

Nope, luckily.

 

I was a bit nervous on the way home, ducked over to a mates workshop just to be sure but he had already filled it with cars!

 

Hail was not much bigger than a pea so it' wont really damage anything, but I was worried it would get bigger.

You bet it can get bigger. I've seen my fair share of damage done by hail since joining the SES. It's so slack to see something so simple as ice causing such damage, some times more catastrophic than others.

 

It's good to hear everything is all good though.

Does the hail diameter increase over the duration, or does it just start out big?
