No doubt, and the flex that the seats will get when you're sitting on them may help stretch it out as well.

Closer. Currently pulling up the carpet to lay dynamat on the floor. I think I'll take the lazy man option and just lift a side and lay the mat underneath, rather than pulling the whole thing. Mark I'm sure you'll say it's not even a thing and just do it :) but I cbf messing around with the last few clips and then trying to reseat everything in the right spot.

Audio gear arrived today so will have to lay cables while the carpet is loose.

Amp under the seat or in the boot?

(No, haven't vacuumed that side yet. Yes, potato camera)

First install for me and I'm not 100% on whether it's ok to have the heater vent right on the amp. Does it need an insulating mat or just screw it down on top of the carpet?

Get a set of ducts from a Macintosh equipped car. They go around the amp and keep the ducts functional and warm air off the amp.

I fix my amp into the carpet and I've always favored under seat for amp location.

Ah so that's why yours are different. Cool, thanks for the tip.

Do you have any issues with dust/dirt with it down there?

They're extensions and clip straight into your existing ducts.

"Issues with dust and dirt" in my car? LOL. Seriously though, no.

You don't have passengers? Or you just make them wipe their feet before boarding?

Rarely have passengers and yes, particular about dirty shoes in the car. If i've been been surfing in winter and shoes are muddy / sandy, i'll remove before getting in the car leave them upside down on the passenger side and drive home in socks. :sarcastic:

Mark (CRUISN) just leaves shoes by the side of the road if they are dirty. His kids once walked 15km home because they had sandy feet.

Some say, he's on a first name basis at Athletes Foot.

Thought I'd share a good video with some painting advice & myths debunked. Can vs. gun, why am I getting bubbles, etc. Good info for beginner/intermediate painting

In other news, Dynamat is done on the floor and rear doors. Today is front doors and bootlid. Seats have just had another leather balm treatment (couple of splotchy areas of mixed coverage) and they're all going in this afternoon. Looking forward to it.

Audio isn't going to get done today. Have to replace a bulb on the BFM and no time/care to run speaker cables through doors today. Got a bit on.

Mark!

A set of white LED side mirror covers (same as other Mark's) just came up in the FS thread. Get down on it!

Thank you brother! Been out in the yard all day so only just saw the thread! Posted - hopefully the dude that replied earlier is just after the bonnet!

Good vid!

I thought it was pretty good too. I like the dude's channel. WRX owner and his paint shop is in western Sydney. I love his mad energy in his vids!

The Gunman is also good if you're in to painting

Yeah, I stay away from painting my own shit, just too tedious if you don't have the space, and hard to get a good finish without the time, like that vid proves.

But I was toying with making a bench-top booth for objects no bigger than an 18" rim, with gloves attached etc, sort of like Homer in the opening credits of the Simpsons. Pretty easy to make with a vacuum attachment and lights, and some perspex.
