Well the closer to home part is nice, but does it work cover the extra pay at BankWest?
Not saying you could lose the offer, but sometimes, it might affect your negotiating abilities.
But when again, having 2 offers might help your negotiations, unless they aren't playing that game. Lol!
I also doubt where the head office is should make a difference to you, but if you had to go to WA, who cares? They pay for it

All true Sack. I guess at the end of the day it's the commute and my job description (I've heard word of the CBA position being permanent part time until after my probation). I've roughly calculated travel to and from work alone and it basically comes down to whether I'd drive to Kogarah and back or whether I'd catch the train. Either way, It comes to about $1,500 for public transport to North Sydney.
Wanting to buy/looking for: single genuine STi rim, genuine STi front lip, Corazon or Zero/Sports grille and another OEM grille

I know what I'm doing mate.
Considering the large amount of discussion about this damn job, I'm surprised.

Does permanent part time mean any less benefits? So BankWest is fulltime?
So that is $1,500 a year, right? My trip to the city per year comes in that around $2k a year

Sometimes I cannot gauge whether you're being a prick or not. You live with your wife. Cool story and big deal. Congratulations.

I've been just as supportive as everyone with new jobs they've obtained. I guess I just talk a bit more than usual. But that's OK because this is the GT.

Less benefits, no. But salary are effected obviously as it is less hours per week. Bankwest is full time.
Yeah, $1,500 per year man. Like I said though, that's a rough estimate.

Haha, for me it is just $2k on the trains alone. Now that I'm working in Lidcombe for a while at the RFS, I drive in here, about 100km a day, which is costing me about $80-$90 a week on fuel, so way more than the train would be. Good thing is I'm in my own car, rather than on a train filled with people.
I'm sure Gaz knows what he is doing, he has been doing it for a while, but yeah, just go with your best option and try not to wait for too long.
RENT? Isn't that come kind of musical?
Garry dude, I'd just BankWest it, and be happy. But hey, that's just me
Part-time CBA?
In the words of Harry, I wouldn't get out of bed for a Part-time role at CBA

Gaz can do math, has to somewhat to work in a bank, but yeah, just comparing his $1.5k public transport cost to my $2k train fairs. Insane how much the prices are
A WEEK???!!!!
Should just walk to work hey? Or ride a bike. That is only something like 16km each way. LOL!

Thanks Sack. It is looking like my likely choice.
Did you quit your old job in the city or something?
Public transport costs sure beats my weekly petrol fill of anywhere between $90+. Times that by 52 and it's significantly more than $1,500.

All good man, yeah, I'm a Test Lead Consultant now, so I go to client sites, and now the client is in Lidcombe, the RFS, which is where I am, so I drive into work, undercover parking, so might as well, plus, way shorter than public transport, even with peak hour traffic, and flexible hours, so I start at 7.30 and leave at 4, home about 4.40, which is crazy new for me. Lol! Yeah damn those petrol prices. I used to complain back in uni days, 12 years ago, with petrol at 68cents. Bring back those days!
Have considered cycling. Just need an upgraded bike.
Some guys at work do that here. But got to have a shower when you get into work. I hear Adam has a bike, maybe for sale?

I like to think of it as borrowing someone's car and driving it better than them.
