VIC is best as any plate is a one off cost. No yearly fee's like NSW. It's understandable though as NSW also hosts the Mardi Gra......

Time for an update. I was really hating the McIntosh stereo mainly because it had no usb or aux input, plus it would distort and the CD player doesn't work so it needed to go. The price of good new amps was more then I wanted to spend so I looked to gumtree and it payed of. Got a good 4 channel alpine amp (mrp-f300) for just $70 for all the door speakers. The factory sub was knackered so I found a 1000 watt 12" Kenwood amp and sub on gumtree as well. A few scratches on the amp but it was $150, heaps less then new. Got a pioneer touch screen headunit and a axxess steering wheel control adapter because I hate using touch screens while driving. Wired the usb and aux into the chubby above the HU and hid the Mic at the bottom of the piller. I also have a reverse camera but probably won't set it up as I hate the look of them. So happy the way it all worked out makes the car so much more enjoyable to drive.

Looks good, but my inner perfectionist isn't liking the colour difference.

Thanks, It annoys me to. Yet to see a facia that matches perfectly. Its like they made it from the material of the cubby above it instead of the climate control. Its a genuine part to  :scratch_one-s_head:

Haha, I bet it does. It does what you intend it to do so that's all that matters.

Thats it, I had to wait a couple of weeks for it to arive after i installed the headunit to so it still felt real good not to have a hole there anymore. I Installed the facia and SWC adapter about a mounth after everything else because of postage haha

Very nice. I'm pretty sure you can still order the factory auxiliary connection as well; I remember reading it somewhere on the SubyClub or club.liberty forum.

Looks good mate, a double din suits so nicely in there. I didn't ever get the pleasure to try the macintosh system in my car haha.

Haha so I've heard my biggest thing is having the reverse camera on it which makes it so nice.

Update time! Just bought and installed new Tein S Tech springs, not after to big of a drop the front wheel gap just annoyed me.
Spring difference:
17861a49e4deed284f8e3647cae94893.jpg
Installed them Sunday and it's given about a 20mm drop on the front and 15mm at the back so far and they may settle in further.
ef3c6d2c7f42c6a3c91fdb922bbc47f6.jpg
If anything the ride is more comfortable and I've had no scrubbing yet, only problems are I have have 1.35 deg of rear camber so I'll get rear camber bushings soon and there was a lot of grease around the top hat bearings so they might be failing. Sometimes I'm not sure why I bother getting alignments though I eyeballed the front camber perfectly ( did the same with the outback haha) and it was clear the rear had to much camber.
af81554a8e37895569d5a652fc51c4a1.jpg
Tucking the rear and almost invisible car haha.
Also just got new bearings for the belt idlers, using corgiworks idea, as the old ones fully forked just waiting for free time to do it at work with the press.
