Also bent a tierod.
Going through insurance now, hope it's not a crappy cheap repair or they'll be doing it again.

That sucks man. What happened? Own mistake or did someone else cause it?
My own mistake, pulled out of a service lane in front of someone hidden behind a much bigger car. The other car drove fine afterwards didn't really have a good look at his Corrola, Mine got to the panel beaters today.

That sucks mate. I bet there was that sinking heart feeling that hung around for a while after. Looks like you got off lightly in a way.
All the best with the repairs.

Yep was surprised how little damage there was, the tierod took the brunt of it, it was a descent hit.

Looked at it last week but left it with them as I wasn't happy with the colour match, went back on Tuesday and it was much better, can only just tell that it's new paint now.
Picture lighting makes the match look bad but it's really fine. Starting to like the stock grill though.
The car got a new door, lca, tierod, wheel hub and bearing and new paint on both doors and guard.
Had some problems while it was there though, battery died from sitting there but it was 5 years old (got a 680cca one through work for 120) front lip has some silver overspray on it, and the drivers seat adjustment switch broke and the seat was stuck all the way back for the week. It took me ages to work out to as the voltage at the motor plug was fine both ways. Just swapped the switch with the other side for now and I'm trying to make them pay for one.
So good to have it back, getting lifts everywhere was such a pain and I missed out on so many cruises I wanted to go on makes me appreciate it so much more then I already did.

Come to think of it I did see some damage, I figured it must have been done by Alan before you got the car.
So whats the cash gunna be used for ??

As said before the seat switch is broken, passenger window won't go up because of a damaged wire to the master switch, had to bitwise the motor to get it up, And the drivers door lock won't work with the key buttons. Getting screwed around trying to make them pay for it to be repaired by my auto elec as I have no trust for their repairer as I keep on finding more things they have damaged ( outside window seal, scratched door card and they managed to use half a tank of fuel in 19k)
Fixed some more of there handywork this weekend by painting the front lip, fog light surrounds and putting my mesh grill back on. Surrounds came up well and the lip looks better then new. Took some age of the car
It looked so funny naked
