Thanks Mark!

I didn't really know there was a difference, I think it's 2000,
but who know. Thanks, I'll keep them in mind if I need anything. :)
Haha haven't moved, still at the same place.

So update on the car!

It has already been unmolested, removed body kit, gauges inside, aftermaket wiring (push button start kit) fan controllers, sequential controller stayed because I didn't have time to pull it apart, and I want to see if it's of any value first. Still lots more unmolestation to remove; alarm, car audio wiring etc.

Passed blue slip today and will be on NSW rego soon! Now it's time to save up and find some factory parts while I save and wait to get my full license.

I'll post so more photos soon waiting on a wash.

Alarmed to hear you're removing the alarm, or are you replacing it?

I think Pat was getting an aftermarket dog fitted.

Yeah, it will be replaced, it doesn't work very well. Like at all, I can break into the car and it doesn't go off, and the central locking unit for it is so crap sometimes works and sometimes doesn't. Rather get one that works with a factory key and works properly :)

Do any of them work with the factory remote? I'd MUCH rather the factory fob than a 3rd party thing

I'm pretty sure there are some that do, I'll do some research and pick one

So not too much is happening on the car at the moment, as I can't drive it till I get my full license, however I got the rego sorted, kinda. Haha, I will be ordering some new plates soon! Can't wait!

Did a nice service on the car with some much needed new engine oil and filters, didn't get time to do the transmission fluid as I had to do some stuff on other cars too.

However I did notice when changing filters this strange device
fdbe8d929ea645f083f1f8ecdb58c5f2.jpg

I'm not really sure what it is, but it doesn't look factory, anyone have any ideas, it has a few wires going into it, could be oil pressure or temp sensors? No clue.

Car got a nice treatment of UEC didn't get a video of the wags,
But managed to get one of my Lib
https://vimeo.com/180982832

Got some awesome parts on their way from Japan (mudflats, rear bar cover, BFM, footwell lighting kit, and an auto lights sensor) Plus some mad clean ups to do on the car, when I get some time off work I'll post up some more progress.

Cheers, Pat

Oil sandwich adaptor plate - so you can bung in oil temp and pressure sensors.

You can see the factory oil cooler fitted above the aftermarket sandwich plate.

Thanks for the quick reply guys, I might leave it on for now as I don't really wanna mess with it, there was a gauge for oil pressure I removed so that would be the sensor for it, could be useful down the track.

So finally got a day off work and pulled the car apart, removed a fair bit more unnecessary wiring for a sound system that wasn't there lmao and some relays that looked like they were for aftermarket horns. f0beffa640ee1b5f02b25aa6831f5d8b.jpg

Also removed the radio as it was a pos, and looked shit, got a factory din slot with the cool flip lid to put in, but it will go on when I get a new radio. Replaced some aftermarket screws and bolts with some spare factory ones because they look better and it annoyed me, and changed my flippy cup holder with a spare I had as the one in the car broke, it wouldn't stay closed !

Also got around to taking the bumper off and cleaning out from the inside of it, car was home to many spiders which I believe I have gotten rid of now, after a few weeks of fumigating them lmao webs mostly cleaned up now :)

I installed new mirrors and side indicators, thanks to Mark. Old mirrors were faded af and scratched. d590025a5e6b3c1582a97c609f53e181.jpg

Also zerosports side skirts came off and factory ones went on, will need a clean up and maybe paint, but still better condition than the zerosports ones, plus they look heaps better. 81885c6bff837a39ccb5bfa0c9ae6856.jpg

Got a whole zerosports kit that will be up for sale soon: mid Spoiler, Rear diffuser, and side skirts. (I'm looking at you, Jim haha ) cool set of gear, but not the look I like haha

Quick engine clean 61d97d26ee108ca85d32c9ef70696ae7.jpg starting to look factory again, but more wiring to remove and then I'm going to try some TT maintenance and clean the BBOD and re run vacuumed lines ! Wish me luck lol

Also just quickly painted the horns and the rear wiper arm as they were faded heaps, and flat black looks amazing 41666b747e3890d9df07101998ed2af1.jpgcb962b853fad9a5f5bdd8b5b378d93a7.jpg2d48a58b1d34f5710f685b1488a13aef.jpg

While I was at it I replaced most of the aftermarket clips I found with factory Subaru ones :)

And to finish it off I did a several hour detail
- detailed wash of the whole car
- full claybar
- full wax
- and full polish
It got dark so I didn't get pictures but car looked so much better, had lots of oil marks on the bonnet which look like they have gone! Can't wait to see it tomorrow

Next on my list for a day off is:
- new wiper blades
- spark plugs (wish me luck big hands and subarus don't mix apparently)
- transmission fluid
- lots of work on interior (carpet cleaner, sound system, etc)

Also got some parts on their way from Japan and an Amayama parts order :)

Question for those with imported Legacys, do you use the Subaru fuel additive?

Coming along nicely. :)

I've used the fuel additive every service since ownership. It's just a cleaner.

I fitted Bosch aero wipers all round. Gets rid of the metal frame and looks neater.

Looking good Pat, this is the cleanest white Gen3 twin turbo imported Legacy on the forum, without a doubt. Struggling to think of any other white wagons that look this good.
