Also today install a........"radiator cooling panel"
The way how my bumper fit on the front when the air enters it has the capability of redirecting under the car. This panel will force the air up to the radiator. See pic below

That catch can is vented. It might cause problems. You want one that isn't vented.

If you wanna use it block off the vent otherwise your car will run rough.

Hi people's. I saw a link to a step by step on how to remove the top mount intercooler. I thought I've save it but I can't find it now. Does any one know or send me the link. Thanks

I'm seeing debates about the catch can set up. I have seen and read about people 2 cans one for the Pcv and the other for the block. Would it be wrong to plum both the Pcv and the block lines into my can and vent it into atmosphere? (Plugging both holes on the expose intake pipping)

I having this problem but strangely I'm seeing the temperature gauge above normal.
First I change the oil.
Change the coolant (2 gallons of it)#dualcoreradiator
Change thermostat
No air in the system
What could cause this readings?
I had in a 12" and a 10" fans but change the 10" to a 12" now. Still no change.
Did a diagnostic check and got no error codes.
Anyone ever experience this?

update;-

regarding the high temperatures was actully cause by faulty gauge.

at  first the connection socket to the ect sensor (that i also replaced) was badly damage (and i replace that) but it wasnt that either.

electricain found the gauge in the instrumental cluster was actually faulty...

Already source a second hand panel locally so i will get that and see if i get my tempt gauge back.

update on the boost issues

finally change out the intake piping and for the first time in 2 years no boost leaks

however now when i launch the car it buggers down and throws error code P1241. (dreading seeing that code.)

went through the 11 items on the list but failed.

trying to get help to locate where all these solenoids are and test them.

I got a replacement Intake piping replace in my gen 3 tt and the back had the nipple that is between the 2 turbos (where the PCV valve hose return in the intake) was crack so I got it plastic weld with the intention to run catch can. The mechanic apparently said he block off the hose because there was another running back into the intake.

I finally have no boost leaks, now, getting that error code p2141 where As when I it goes up to 5000rpm the system jerks and bong down And throws the code. As we all know that code has 11 different possible reason to fix.
My biggest question is have you ever or known any body who block up the pcv valve hose?
(This mechanic specialize in Subarus for all the track cars on my island from all over the world for rally)

I wouldn't suggest blocking the PCV. On my first attempt at installing a catch can I used a hose that was too narrow and too restrictive, and the car kept popping my dip stick out.

But I highly doubt your issues are because of that. Without reading back through this entire thread, it sounds like it is breaking down at higher RPM. I had a similar issues when one of my coilpacks went bad and when my O2 sensor was a dud. That said, 5000rpm is about when the second turbo kicks in so it could be related to that.
Oh, code 1241. Not 2141.

Yeah, she's complaining that it's not seeing the boost it expects to.

Interesting the code p1241 didn’t mention the o2 or the packs they point to what I believe the sensors in the vacuum box and other related boost leaks.
I have to find a way to check/test the solenoids in the box.
Thanks for the response will look at the coil packs I believe the o2 was change about 2 years ago. Will still look at it. Thank again Luke
