28C at 6am this morning. Was forked. Still 31 or something at midnight. Whens winter?

Every now and then I try to Google my old car to see if some kid has picked it up. Then I get sad thinking it may be in a scrapyard somewhere. It only needed a minor oil leak fixed to keep it roadworthy. Interior was mint.

 

The only thing I don't miss is the unreliable power, but it always started and certainly had character.

Last night was damn uncomfortable. The humidity was real.

I love hot weather. The climate is one of my favourite things about QLD. Love stepping out at Brisbane Airport and being hit by the wave of humidity after spending easter in Sydney. You learn to sleep with a fan on low between October and March. However up here you usually get a breeze in the afternoon or a storm, helps to break it up a bit.

I must admit there is a breeze this afternoon but last night, even with the fan on full blast, it was hot as fork. Woke up numerous times during the night because I was so uncomfortably hot.

At that point the A/C goes on. Fork not getting a good nights sleep.

I can deal with heat at night cos we have evap AC and a fan but last night the AC was doing fork all cos of the humidity.

I love the cold. Easy as to get warm but its hard to cool down plus dem intake temps

So that covers the house design and orientation or just approval to build on the parcel of land only?

House and land package. We take up the full width of the block (not a cm to spare). They had to move the garage over 10cm, reducing the main hallway to 1m. I was worried because I didn't want to make the house any thinner. The backyard is huge though, its 12.5mx12m, so I put a rollerdoor on the rear of the garage to ease rear access.

The blood moon was pretty awesome last night

But then this morning I found my brumby broken into and my wallet and iPod gone. The iPod Im not too fussed about, it was old and not worth anything, its more of a nuisance since now my tunes in the brumby are gone and Im stuck on radio now...

Didnt think much about my wallet other than the credit card - no new transactions which was good. Card cancelled. Daily use card got some action though. A couple of hundred gone. Card cancelled, bank is investigating, police notified.

The scum got in through the roof glass by forcing the latch to unclip from its mount to open the glass fully so they could open the drivers door. Nothing else taken. I wont be leaving the car with the roof glass popped up. Hard way to learn that lesson

I didn't get a chance to see it thanks to all the damn clouds in the sky. As soon as it hit midnight I went outside and could barely make out where the moon was even located in the sky...

 

But that is major forked up. Unfortunately its the human way to learn lessons the hard way. Sucks Bennie. Hopefully they get caught and castrated. The bank will definitely give you a full refund for the money stolen, it may just take a couple of weeks worst-case scenario.

 

Off topic a bit; I'm parting out a MY06 2.5i Safety Pack sedan (it's got a blown engine). I've decided to save the $3-3.5k in getting it back on the road as it was initially going to be for my girlfriend; plans changed and we are now buying a new car instead.

 

Thought I'd post it here so you guys can have first dibs. More pics can be posted if need be, I just wanted one for reference. Colour is Brilliant Silver if I'm not mistaken.
