Won't be long before they introduce something similar here in NSW. Outbreaks coming up here, there and everywhere lately.

Agree. You guys didn’t learn from us. Lock it down sooner rather than later and ramp up the testing. Your premier’s stance on “lockdown being no way to live” is reckless at best. Being in hospital or being a loved one that loses their life to covid is no way to live either...

All the best with it. We know Sydney wants to be like Melbourne but this is one area you guys should drop :P

Cheers

Curious, bloke at work is selling his 2003 Mercedes E-Class E320 Elegance. I need a run around mainly for the weekends to spare my missus giving me a lift to work.

Anyone driven/owned/know about them? He is a guy that does take care of his cars so that's not an issue at all.

Wow. Been a while since I've tuned in here, and it shows!

Congrats Gazman! Hope everything is smooth sailing for you man, and yea, its all fun and games!

We're currently 'trying' to plan a wedding in October... our date was decided well before covid. Worst thing about it is instead of everyone saying "congrats, so happy for you, how is the planning coming along?", we're getting "oh, are you sure its a good idea to go ahead, shouldn't you postpone?"
Biggest pain in the arse.

Anyways, end rant.

Hope everyone is going well through this crap. I swear we would have been better off just taking the hit to the economy and forcing a 2 week stage 4 lockdown. Would have put the country into a stand still, but you wouldnt have this bullshit we're in now, 4 months later....

MY00 Red RX, a nice daily that was sold off once the B4 became reliable...
MY02 Blue B4, aka 'The Project' - v8 JDM STi engine package and assorted other 'goodies' - Sold, then bought back for parts. Stripped and crushed.
MY03 Blue RX, the newer old daily, pretty well more B4 than RX now... In the process of being converted to the track toy... Watch this space!
MY02 Silver Wagon, H6 conversion, full blue/black leather and almost full black interior to go with it.
MY03 White/Silver H6 Outback, donor car for silver waghoon.
MY97 Silver RX, acquired to become track car, but plans changed. To be stripped and scrapped in time.

I agree about the harsh lock down, but 2 weeks wouldn’t be enough to fully eradicate the virus from the general population and it wouldn’t take into account horny security guards in Vic who don’t know how to do their job properly.

As for your wedding, I hope we’re all out of the woods by then! I can understand holding onto a set date. Mrs El_Freddo and I were married on the anniversary of us getting together in the first place. All the best in your plans for what you want on your big day (enjoy it, the day FLIES and you two are the busy ones!).

Cheers

We're trying to plan our wedding too and so far we have September next year in our sights... Hopefully all of this COVID-19 is gone (or at the very least under control) by that stage... I just don't want to put down any deposits with all the uncertainty going on.

Yea, pretty sure you'll be right by then. I would certainly steer clear of any deposits for the next 2 to 3 months. You just dont know who's still going to be open after all this.

Cheers,
Ben

Ben and Gaz, I hope thing work out as soon as they can for you both.

We had 800 cubts down here that were supposed to be in isolation due to pending or positive tests, but decided it would be a good idea to go out.

Govt have given Police the power to issue a $5K fine. Should have given them the power to draw their weapons....

Thanks Jase.

I'd vote for that for sure. Scum that just don't understand how serious things are until it happens to them or their loved ones.

“Good” to see there are at least five active members on here! Kudos to you guys!

It’s awesome to have the opportunity to tuck right into an ageing project too. Not really due to covid as school is still busy even without students - online presence for students sucks and their participation rate is “ultra low” to say the least.

My students aren't too bad. As they are employed, I have the luxury of speaking to their boss!

Learning off-site has meant that some have smashed through their work, others need fire lit under their ar$e!

Is it just me, or is something weird going on with PartSouq?

Cant decode my VIN anymore? Even tried the old GenIII RX and that came up 'nothing found' as well??

Part numbers seem fine.

Was working fine for me last week on my RS’s Vin. But many older parts seem to be out of stock or NLA which isn’t good for me!

Yeah definitely not working now X(
EDIT: it was working perfect for me at 6pm!

Now... whats the difference between an EJ20G genuine Subaru cam belt and a Mistuboshi cam belt other than about $US100?? The Subaru labelled item is $US125!

I would say the only difference is the US hunge.

IIRC they are used by a few brands as OEM.

Wishing I wrote down the VIN I had acquired for the STi spec C I had a few months ago. Is really hard to find engine parts without that.

Thanks Jase, we've now postponed to January. Borders need to be open for my family to come across, so october is not looking good.
Was at the drivethru maccas yesterday in Stawell, and one of the staff wasnt wearing a mask, touching her glasses with gloved hands etc, was not impressed. If you have a valid reason for not wearing one, no dramas, but be forked if I want you touching and preparing my food without the bloody mask on!!

I love collecting VINs for that exact reason. Victorian registration plate numbers are the best for this “service” ;)
