I’m loving this alpine weather in Bendigo, just needs more snow action :D

It reminds me of our seasons working at Hotham! Good times!

:fork: me - couldn’t vicroads and other road authorities cut us some slack and reduce the cost of rego for the year??

$716, that’s bloody up there! “I remember when we used to pay $400 for rego!!

Agreed. Insurance companies are offering discounts due to not driving during COVID.

I'm sure large Govt organizations will do the same......

Life's been really good fellas. Bought a new house in June & have just finished moving in. Buying during the Covid slump meant we got the place a little cheaper but it wasn't a massive saving by any means. Now I spend most of my spare time renovating the old place getting it ready for sale and watching the property market, waiting for it to bounce back a tad so we get a better price when its time to sell.
Still racking up K's on the Impreza, had it for 5 years now. Im about to hit 140,000 so a new car will be on the cards next year. It's been an awesome car but the love was never really there if you know what I mean. It was always a financial move buying it for the economy. For the new car I'm Leaning towards something larger than a Subaru and definitely Turbo. Falcon or Stinger perhaps.

Great news mate, congratulations. I only moved into our new place with the missus in May last year so luckily we avoided the whole COVID-19 bullshit. Living in the Shire is good though.

When and if you're in the market for a brand new Kia Stinger, let me know. It's one of the dealerships I take care of and can help you out with the deal.

Hey all, been flat out the last week or so. Just waiting on a building inspection and settlement before we move into another place thats a bit bigger than the unit we're in now. Added bonus that it has, I reckon, a 30x30 shed (in the old language). With concrete floor and roller doors. Cannot wait to be honest. Being able to get rid of the storage shed and start working on cars in my own shed rather than the carport is going to be epic. Vehicle access to it is a little interesting, but I'll manage. Just got to wait for everything to run its course before moving, which could be as early as 2 weeks, or could be 2 months away, but I'm thinking it'll be closer to the former.

Good to hear things are going well Kong, I'd personally be going with the stinger. Falcons no longer made, whereas Kia aren't disappearing anytime soon. And its always a good thing with cars when one of the states start using them as highway patrol cars too (SAPOL have moved to them after fairly extensive testing since Holden went under)

Cheers,

Ben

MY00 Red RX, a nice daily that was sold off once the B4 became reliable...
MY02 Blue B4, aka 'The Project' - v8 JDM STi engine package and assorted other 'goodies' - Sold, then bought back for parts. Stripped and crushed.
MY03 Blue RX, the newer old daily, pretty well more B4 than RX now... In the process of being converted to the track toy... Watch this space!
MY02 Silver Wagon, H6 conversion, full blue/black leather and almost full black interior to go with it.
MY03 White/Silver H6 Outback, donor car for silver waghoon.
MY97 Silver RX, acquired to become track car, but plans changed. To be stripped and scrapped in time.

Well, regional Vic is off the hook from stage three restrictions. So everyone is going bush! I know I’m packing the camper in anticipation of the start of school holidays. Can’t wait!!

And we’re doing our part for the economy with a few new purchases to replace and upgrade important bits of equipment.

Cheers

Initially I was going to be in Bali at the end of this month for two weeks. Due to COVID-19, we changed plans to Queensland. Since then plans have changed again and I'm spending two nights at The Star and three nights at a pimped out house at The Entrance. So pumped!

I just got back from the mallee and read on the news that trump has covid. Classic twist of events there! He might actually win the next election if he survives. I think the less he says the better for his campaign- not that I want him at the helm again.

Thanks mate. It’s very quiet - shearer’s quarters campground in the Murray sunset NP. 2wd accessible on some rough roads in the dry. If wet you could easily become stuck. 4wd for the win on that one.
