Starting to stress about getting my Christmas shopping done....

My family are difficult to buy for, never want anything and they buy what they need when they need it.

In those cases we try to buy our family members an experience in something they want to do and that we deem as affordable. Not always an easy thing to do cost wise though, think about it and shop around. You could try doing a group of family members purchasing something like this together.

One year my wife got me a rally day experience - hot lap and an hour driving session with an instructor. Dunno what it cost, I dont care as it was :fork:

n awesome!

There are other, smaller experiences you can find, look around locally at tourist type activities that are up their alley

Otherwise, a bottle of the favourite alcohol never goes astray - be careful with wine selections though, you dont want to get a Shiraz when they enjoy drinking a Merlot

A bunch of us gave a mate a rally experience for his 50th, he loved it too.

Thanks for the tips, an experience would be good for my sister an bro inlaw. Might look at something food orientated.

MY00 Red RX, a nice daily that was sold off once the B4 became reliable...
MY02 Blue B4, aka 'The Project' - v8 JDM STi engine package and assorted other 'goodies' - Sold, then bought back for parts. Stripped and crushed.
MY03 Blue RX, the newer old daily, pretty well more B4 than RX now... In the process of being converted to the track toy... Watch this space!
MY02 Silver Wagon, H6 conversion, full blue/black leather and almost full black interior to go with it. In process of being stripped and sold off.
MY03 White/Silver H6 Outback, donor car for silver waghoon. Scrapped.
MY97 Silver RX, acquired to become track car, but plans changed. Scrapped.

MY13 BRG, current daily, very nice to drive, small mods to make it even nicer again.

I feel for my mate who’s on the other side of the continent from his family at his job, then I remember his six figure pay figure and shrug it off...

Yay! Got a diesel Pajero going today after an engine swap.

I know, not a subaru, had to share, much excitement as it fired up very easily and ran well on an unknown engine...

Thanks mate. Tonight I sorted a check engine light. Who knew diesels were much like fuel injection. And this is pre-common rail diesel where the governor is somehow operated by the ECU. Swapped a sensor out and bingo, CEL gone. One step closer to a RWC.

I need to get back into the RS and Ruby Scoo, I feel like I’m cheating on my Subaru stables

Well, todays the day... getting hitched. Can't explain how happy I am to finally have this happen, given the postponing and associated stress of bloody covid! Hope everyone is doing alright, and 2021 is ok for everyone around here still!

Nothing has happened with my builds lately, for obvious reasons... fork me the amount of shit that goes into planning these things is insane!
