Hercules Double India Pale Ale Thats a freakin malty and bitter beer. Great oily feel to it too I'm not getting as much hop as I was expecting from the aroma I prefer the double dog

Got a couple of each of my different batches of home brew on tonight :D... just cracked my Munich style Lager (the newest and only 3 weeks bottled :o) it actually tasted crap last week... this week its farking nice!! head retention is showing promise... at the bottom of the glass and still almost a cm of head :D fairly creamy head too. It is trying to leave rings around the glass but not as well as I would like... its more a lot of blotches lol.

Hi, not a beet drinker here, although I figure not all beer can be bad, so I'm trying to find a beer i like. Tried a sapporo last night, absolute garbage! Had one mouthfull and chucked the bottle. So what's a good beer to drink if you don't like beer?

Hi, That's a curly one. You don't like Sapporo - so that's a GOOD start. You might just like beer more than you think. What do your mates/colleagues usually pressure you into downing? If it's the likes of Carlton Draught, Hahn Super Dry etc. etc. there is no wonder that you don't 'like beer'. I would suggest you grab a Weihenstephen Pilsner. A great levelling beer that will give us the knowledge of your palette to perhaps guide you towards something you like. Cheers, Nik

As the beer god (^^^^) said, there's still hope for you yet.... Little Creatures Pale ale would be another good starting point IMO.

Hi, That's one of my favourite 'get her started' beers too, mate. Good call. PS> I sure as catshat ain't no god of beer! New homebrew is on at the moment. The last one was so heavily laden with hops the bitterness was just too much. This time we've pulled the timing significantly and ended up with a sweet first ferment. Never fear though, looking to throw 50G of hop to 'dry hop' the brew. This won't throw too much bitterness, but should round the flavour a lot. Cheers, Nik

Good stuff, when you drink them, have a glass of water between the diff brews, just to rinse your mouth so as not to mix the flavours :drinks:

tried fat yak at the pub after work today. not too bad, but with all the insanely malty and bitter beers i have had of late, this just didn't cut it in a wow factor. Fairly light and refreshing but was missing mouth feel and malt
