Everytime one of us seeks out a new Australian boutique label, they have to bombard us with YET ANOTHER BLOODY PALE ALE. I mean, come on. Enough is enough.
Because it's my favourite style of beer I often do grab any "new" Pale I see, I only post em up here so others that don't often try boutique beers may use it as a guide and not be put off (if they happen to choose a shit one).
I think we should set the task for the next week to do a touch of research before purchasing a new brew, or at least one we haven't tried already. Let's get some good drops back on these pages.
I try mate, I try....
I always get "new" beers that I haven't tried.... Unfortunately cos of my geological position, I sort of have to take whatever is on offer, which does also unfortunately mean I get a few duds too. Win some lose some.... Even the ones I don't like I do still enjoy drinking them.

Hi,
Oops. Just re-read what I wrote when you quoted it. That line about the bombarding of pale ale, wasn't directed at those who post in this thread, it was directed at the Australian brewers who just seem to bench everything they do in bottle to pale ale.
Doh. Didn't mean to come off like a dick.
Cheers,
Nik
hahaha, no worries....
I was wondering if it was directed at us or the brewer's.
Totally agree with you bout the market.

Quite a nice brew (mmmm fuggles). I was admiring the colour of it (firey copper red) till I read the ing., it's got bloody colouring in it WTF!!! That in itself has soured an otherwise good experience.
P.S. My apologies for not having pics for the last 2 brews, I have taken pics but can't find the camera cord to get em on the puter.

Gluten free, or 'gimick filled' beer is usually pretty crap. But if you're allergic (?) then it'd probably fill the void quite well. Apparently the Australian brewed - O'Briens Premium Larger is quite a nice drop. You will find most gluten free beers seem to be below 4.5% - I have no idea why. But, I have heard of a company in Denmark, or Czech or maybe Holland that are making a 7%'er.
Might be worth a look, eh Richo?

O'Brien Brewing

This is the company rocking the hardcore percentages, but I can't see it on their website. Instead, a whole buch of crazy stuff!

Mongozo!
Check out the 'Quinua' grain beer (probably the only one that's not gluten free mind you...) - how cool does that sound? The original grain beer of the Incans! Might have to give the old IBS a ring today...
Cheers,
Nik
