Hi,

Cop them into a glass, something that resembles a wine glass, anything with curvature is a plus. I would start with the Golden then move up to the FatYak.

This way you are moving to a heavier hop profile.

Cheers,
Nik

Well I went with the Squires and well it has something that the other 'not' beers are lacking..flavour!

First sip was a bit more intense that I expected ( I'm a noob remember) and now it is quite good.

Sorry about the phone quality pic

Hi,

Was actually being an arsehole and having a crack at your monitor. All is well, beer is enjoyed.

Glad you like it mate. If you really like those two, we can get into some more serious stuff. But those are safe as houses good quality brews.

One tip to take forward, if it's in a clear glass bottle, it's shit.

Cheers,
Nik

I saw a few different kinds of '3 Kings' at Thirsty Camel.

Don't think they had clear bottle's?

Tried them at all?

I'm on the Fat Yak now, it's a bit different. It tastes erm heavier?
Still nice but I wasn't a fan of the first few sips.
Is this due to the 'heavier hop profile' that Nik mentioned before.

So far I prefer the Squires to the Fat Yak. Is this due to the fact that one is Golden Ale and the other is Pale Ale?

The bitter, but it's not intolerable aka VB. It just gives it ummm character?

LOL 'a very very different bitter to VB.... I have no idea what they use in VB to provide bitterness but I refuse to believe it is hops... where-as the Yak has a far more floral bitterness (IMO).. if that is the words to describe it?

Yes..very very different to VB. Maybe they bottle up NSW feelings after State of Origin to give it that bitterness..Lol

Fat Yak is alright but I preferred the Squires..so what to drink tomorrow night?

Jesse :drinks:
